Rooted now what to do?

Well since you have the proper build version and kernal and evrything, you should be able to flash squidlys rom and ignore the update. We'll cross that bridge when the next update comes out. Sorry I disappeared for so long, I was at work.

Hey my boot animation doesn't show any more just shows moto wings then stays black until it boots to home screen..any idea why that's happening?

Sorry I disappeared, I can't really think of a reason that would be happening. How many times have you booted with no animation?

Hey spaz...I just wanted to throw out my thanks for your help in this thread. Your step by step really helped me out. I'm now running the Squidly ROM as well thanks to your help. It's not hard to do but even the simplest things can seem confusing if someone doesn't lay it all out for you. You did just that. Thanks again.

I just rooted with Z4, downloaded wireless tether, rebooted everything. I'm now successfully connected with wireless tether, but I can't connect to the internet.

it happend like a few times then i download root tools and set a new boot animation and the one i set works

you might want to post this question elsewhere. i dont use wireless tether so i cant help you, and this thread is more about the instalation of a particular rom than anything else.
