Ok. Wow. Where did that come from?? I have flashed 30+ roms and haven't done half that. Whatever happened to bootstrap recovery wipe data and cache install zip from SD choose zip reboot and enjoy? What did you try to install?

It's from the bootstrap guide, format data and cache is just a little more complete than wipe. It's not a problem at all, some dev's specify to do so.

If all that is correct than the install should be clean. What concerns me is that most of these roms mount the system automatically. I don't think that would make the difference he is talking about but I'm sure it is possible.
