Rooted

Little scarey moment. I have spent the last Hour plus trying to put a rom on and started getting an error code 20. Kept messing with it over and over to the point it was almost like it was straight out of the box. Started setting it up and messing around some more then it finally let me restore from previous saving point. Don't know what I did, but it wouldn't let me restore for at least an hour. Then I tried to boot in recovery again and it let me restore. The one thing I noticed was different is I found the name of the last back up and before I couldn't.Phone is back to normal, but no rom yet.

It was error code 20. At one point trying to install the rom it kept telling me it couldn't mount the sd card. I also at one point recieved an error code 31. I'm getting ready to try to install the rom again now.

Darryl

Still getting an error 31 code when I try to do a nadroid back up. Have looked for answers, but none seems to have one. Not sure what to do.
If I try to use my last back up and install the rom it tells me my sd card is not mounted.

Darryl

Yes. I have Rom Manager on the phone, but don't really want to use it. I'm still pretty new to all this so I don't want to have too many differnet things going on. I would like to just use SPR.

Ok. Did you install a file manager from the market?

DroidForums junkie!!

I'm really not sure what happened now. The rom I have been trying to download is on my phone now, but a lot of my apps are gone. I think it rebooted to recovery but loaded the rom with rom manager. I don't know where the other apps went.

Darryl

I would like to try to restore back to before, but Clockworkmod is what it's trying to restore with and I'm not sure how to restore with this. If rom manager was still on here I would use alternate recovery, but the app is gone. Could I reload it and then flash alternate and the do restore?

Darryl

Nandroid Error Code 31 - SD card has become corrupt. Format through android as your PC may not format it correctly.

You have a problem. We can help. :)

Ya, I still need some help. Here is where I'm at. I was trying to install UD 2.4 with SPR. I kept getting the error 31. I have an back up, but it wasn't letting me use it to back up. I was messing with Rom manager and the rom was downloaded with that. I did do a back up and then tried to do another flash through Rom manager to reboot in recovery with SPR. Still get error 31. I know I'm jumping all over and I would say that is because I have tried to do so many things I;ve lost track. When the rom did get installed I was missing all my apps, but I think when I rebooted they were installed. I did have to redo all my emails though. So noe my phone is where it originally was, but with the new rom.
I would much rather use SPR for everything and I'm wondering if I should just remove Rom Manager so CW isn't even on my phone. Now I don't know if I can recover with SPR because of the error.
Sorry if this is confusing.
Oh one more quick thing when I would try to reboot it would get stuck so I would have to remove battery, then I noticed my battery was low. So now its fully charged.

Darryl

Okay, keep that battery charged.

First, flash SPR from RM. Then ditch RM if you don't want CW.

Second, back up everything on your SD card to your PC. Now unmount the SD card from the settings on the phone, wait a minute for the "format SD card" to stop being greyed out. Now format the card.

Third, if you can't get the card to format in the phone, format it from your PC, but that's a last-ditch effort.

Fourth, let us know when this is done. You may now restore your SD card from your PC backup.
