Ever since I flashed this ROM my gmail account wont sync. Anyone else having this problem?

my gmail synced with out an issue

I had to go into settings, accounts, selected my gmail accounts and put a check in the box for it to sync

EDIT: smily face up there was an accident lol

Right, ive got all that, still isnt syncing...also having a text message problem, sometimes i go to select my recent text message and it opens another text window from a previous conversation from another person, only having this problem on rubiX so i know its not the phone...

Try this: go to Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > GMail > Clear Data

This rom is awesome, but I would love to have the option to install the Multi-Touch keyboard rather than the stock android keyboard. I know this is supposed to be AOSP, but the MT Keyboard is smoother for me.

The multitouch keyboard works great. I'm glad to have swipe to close back.

Just put LatinIME.apk in /system/app/ and libjni_latinime.so in /system/lib/. I'd recommend renaming the original files first. Then you can go to settings and enable the Multi-Touch Keyboard.

This doesn't seem to work... When I try to install it, I get Installing update... that never goes away. I have to battery pull to reboot and it never installs the keyboard.

That's because you don't install it. Read the instructions in the post the files are attached to.

Amazing Battery Life

This ROM just gets better and better.

I did a backup last night then ran the cpu.sh script. I chose ULV 100000, 80000, 50000, 350000. Let it charge over night and took it off of the charger at 6AM.

I have had about 15 minutes of calls, checked emails several times, used Google Listen for 35 minutes on the way in to work and have had 16 sms messages.

My battery has just now, 11:45 AM, dropped down to 90%.

I was running the ULV 1.2GHZ but I really didn't notice a performance gain. I do notice the battery gain though by dropping the high down to 1.0GHz and the low down to .35Ghz.

I don't know. I never did like/understand the LCD density changing. I guess I could see the point if you wanted a lot of apps on screen, but if you use any widgets, such as beautiful widgets, it gets all wonky.

Yes. Same issue exists.
With ADW, you can change the number of columns and rows, which is nice... but LCD Density issue remains.

Okay guys, I need your help. I LOVE this rom but am having a huge problem that is going to be a deal breaker. It drains my battery insanely fast!, like %20 per hour! I have wiped the cache and system twice now, doing a clean install and installed no apps and it still sucks the battery dry with virtually no usage. Battery usage is calling cell standby the culprit, which is not the case. I have 2 X's and a Droid 2 in the house and they all get great signals, but usage shows my standby usage at 65% plus saying I had no signal 50% or more of the time, which never happened on OTA or Rubix 1.0, or other roms I have tried. I did *228 and it changed nothing, I have the same prl as the other two phones. I am at a loss.....

slightly more info may (or may not) help:
Theme?
Battery or task management apps (Advanced Task Killer, etc. etc. etc.)?
Did you restore from a backup (Titanium in particular)?
Any other mods?

So interestingly I cant download the update for facebook. The install is unsuccessful. Turns out that facebook is in the system/apps. Is this why I cant get the update? Any reason for it to be there? Can I just change the .apk--->bak and install the app where it belongs?

i'm lookin in the rubix 1.6 zip and don't see facebook in there... it shouldnt be in system/app it should be in data/, meaning its not even included in the rom and therefore should not be in system, you sure you're running 1.6?

Im very certain where it is actually. I have no idea how it got there. So if i delete it from system/app it reinstall data/app it should update ok?

It's possible that it was restored from a backup.. ?
Yes. Just delete it, or rename .apk to .bak, and you should be able to install from Market.

I've got my GPS symbol but I've only put Sephtin's black bar on. Never messed with Incognito or JARubix.

I don't think the gallery version works, but I think Drod is working on it.

You could use Real HDMI (which may or may not be on the market) but there is a risk with your phone freezing and requiring a battery pull to reboot it. From what I read this can happen at any time and is an issue with the 2.2 kernel ( I think :icon_eek.
