rubiX Focused 1.6

Wow! I just got settled into 1.0! Thanks for the new release. Can email in Exchange accounts be moved in the Email app in this release?

This issue still exists. Same Mail app (built from source)...

Wow, redundant answer. I wasn't aware this thread was 9 pages already o_O. I'll compile list of ?'s/answers kinda before just auto responding I guess :S lol

You should add an extra warning about the underclock, since the issue is more common than originally thought.

There is a warning in the OP ;) in bold letters.

I know about that. But currently, drod is planning on releasing a patch to change some of the undervolt settings, since a few people have had issues in this thread.

Yeah....or they could just be changed manually or with an overclock app like Jrummy's.....alot easier and wouldnt have to wait on a patch. I upped mine back to 1.45ghz LV and running great.

So far I've been stable for about 3 hours with these settings:

300/25
600/30
800/38
1000/53

So maybe just some slight tweaking is necessary... I'll keep you guys posted if I get another reboot.

I am so lazy though... I want to wait for the Juicy themes to be "officially" compatible anyway.

How soon until the Juicer themes are compatible with 1.6? Should I just give it a go and hope everything works?

I'm downloading the rom now, Ill throw up a new thread once I get a working theme going. dancedroid

Just got another reboot... stay tuned for results :p

A note about ADW Launcher

I have always used ADW, so it's on my list of Marketplace Apps (AppBrain, etc)
Since this is installed with the ROM, it confuses the Market. It allowed me to install it twice. I used ADB Shell to mv ADWLauncher.apk to ADWLauncher.bak in /system/apps and rebooted. This put me on using my 'Market' version of ADW.
I do not know the implications for updates/etc. with staying on the built version, but thought this needed to be mentioned. ADW has had many updates in the last month or so. And the improvements have been HUGE. Would hate to see people get locked into an old version.

Sounds like an easy fix... probably a necessary one as well. Drod?

Because of the way apps are signed, there is no easy way to "install" an app via a ROM, that can then be upgraded via the Market. The app would have to be placed on the SDCard in a folder, and manually installed, for example.

This was on my list of things to find a way to do.. if anyone has additional info on how to install an app to /data/app, via patch/ROM/etc., and still have that app be able to be updated via Market, PLEASE share that info!

Hmm, I just downloaded ADW.Launcher from the Market and it installed but nothing seemed to happen. I don't see 2 ADW's in root explorer or in applications manager. Perhaps installing it from market when it's already installed via ROM will now make it show as a market app? It is listed as installed in market downloads now...
