rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

Hey Drod, first gr8 work man .
I'd like bring something to your notice. the milestone app from market works for loading OC module then JRummy's script can be used. I am using ULV at stock freq and after 10h 48m of no use my battery went down from 100 to 50. My battery manager says cell standby 55%, wifi 19% phone idle 18% android os 7%, display 2%

It may contain "the visual bug" but still on ULV this battery performance seems very poor to me. What do you think

You have to give it time. The phone takes a while to rebuild the cache. Once everything is built back up properly, battery life will increase. It helps to not have things syncing in the background, as well. Kik messenger is known to be a huge detriment on battery life

Other suggestion:
Charge the battery to 100% (overnight recommended), and then go clear the batter stats in clockworkmod recovery (advanced> clear batt stats).

This will help the phone resync with battery stats more quickly.

HTH!

Will definitely try that

I had a big problem getting recovery to work.. I'm not sure, but I think it's because I let google restore all of my apps. When I uninstalled bootstrap x recovery and reinstalled it.. it then worked... so whewwww.

has NOTHING to do with letting google restore apps, happens all the time. So often, in fact that I put up an FAQ about it on DroidXForums.. :P
Happens in stock as well...

Help I've lost ClockWork recovery, my phone just reboots back into android

Don't see it in the Rom manager?

Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

Just download the .zip file on the first page and install it via recovery. It will download from your phone into the download folder on your SDcard, that or download it on your PC and xfer it to the phone via usb.

i edited my post from before to include this:

a little more info, sorry. I installed the leak after running 1.8.6 by bootstrapping, formatted system, formatted data and cache, installed 2.3.320 .zip, rebooted. then i installed drod's 1.9.3 over top by bootstrapping again, formatting data and cache, and installing 1.9.3.

and no, no overclocking, every time i tried it would reboot my phone. i tried jrummy's app and jrummy's script that drod included, cpu.sh.

My guess would be that it is a problem with the leak... Maybe sbf and go back to pre-leak?

No offense to Inkarnit, but do not listen to his last post. If you've installed the leaked 2.3.320, you will brick your phone if you try to go backwards. Just look through this thread and you'll see what happened when people tried going back TBH & MyDroidWorld Strikes Back: 2.3.320 update **Must be rooted**. No full sbf has been made, so you'll be stuck until there is one.

i did download the system only sbf. what about doing a data/cache wipe and re-sbf the system? can i also assume that going back to a nandroid backup from 2.2 (i.e. rubiX 1.8.6) will also brick my dx?

Yes. Once you load the leak, there's no going back... currently at least.

Alright, so the transition animations are growing on me. Occasionally, there's a weird little box that lingers at the top of screen for a split second, but that doesn't seem to happen very often. I also found the following thread about changing animations on the Evo:

[HOW TO] Adding Custom Transitions to your Rom(updated) - xda-developers

I didn't know that people changed these things, so now I'm interested in trying out different kinds. Does anyone know if we might be able to import these Evo animations to the X? I mean, we can't just replace our /anim with one of these, sign, and push can we?

I agree with Sephtin, like we said, currently no way to go back, no sbf, no nandroid.

I don't see how wiping data/cache could hurt anything, nor using the 2.3.320 system sbf file. As far as I read, that the the recommended procedure for now.
