rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

Hmm... it allows me to change the Video Camera resolution but I have no option for that on the regular camera. It still appears very grainy. The Video camera appears fine... but when I switch back to camera

Not trying to be hostile towards the rom, I love it! This is the only thing I could find to complain about, hehe. It might not be the rom, it might just be I am an idiot and can't find a setting?

i have never had this problem, but then again, i use vignette

Does anyone know why after installing this rom, my camera looks all grainy now... its taking like 1mp pictures at best... is this a normal bug is there some way around this? I heard somewhere that custom roms will hurt the quality of the camera but this is a huge difference.

also, the app may make it look grainy... i used camera 360 pro and the pictures i took looked grainy but it was a lot better when i looked through it in the gallery or computer...

I guess you're right, the pictures look great in the gallery... the screen just displays them grainy when I'm aiming with it... Maybe that happened before and I just never noticed... it would make sense not to process it on your screen in HD while aiming to save the battery.

Coolness
Loving rubix with blue juice!

Settings button (top right, looks like a gear), and then scroll down to set resolution (most people don't catch that you have to scroll to get to the settings you want to change)...

Worst case scenario.. there's always the Blur Camera... :S

Also, I was wondering if it would be ok for me to install Launcherpro on Rubix? I did that on Apex and it slowed down the phone badly. Only reason I want launcher pro is because of the scrolling apps on the bottom make it easy to always get to my texts, and the AWD homescreen with rubix only has a browser and phone icon on the bottom.

Is there some way I can add a handcent icon with the phone and browser icons docked on the bottom?

Thanks for helping me find that setting, but It was already set to 8mp...
It's taking 8mp pictures, its just the screen displays its very grainy while taking the picture. Once the picture is taken and saved it is crystal clear when viewing it in gallery.

1) LPP works, but has some minor issues, such as:
--Widgets may or may not update, if you use them.
--Breaks transitions
--....

2) Just drag the icon onto the bar in ADW. If it doesn't work on 1.2, it will replace what's currently in that spot on the dock. You can also set it to 5 icons on the bottom like you can in LPP...
I'd go into details, but I'm running the latest version. (1.3.2, or 1.3.3, can't remember)... so settings might be different.
Latest version will also be included with new release of rubiX Focused coming soon!

Not a bad write-up here...

I had the same issue. Blur camera took care of it.

Also I've been using LP with no issues.

I heard mixed reports on 1.8.6, but again, have heard mixed reports on 1.8.9 too (though, mostly complaints)...

If anyone knows how to test for the ksoftirqd issue, that hasn't gone to the leak, would love feedback (I don't have time to reload in the next couple days.. )

Thanks!

I just unplugged the phone...and figured out where to find it....I'll report back later today. I'm running w/o the leak 1.89. To be honest --- I haven't seen a terrible redunction in battery performance from stock (standard Vz ROM)....but I'll let you guys know what happens....

Awesome, thnx!

I realize it probably won't matter (since we're expecting the new ROM later tonight that addresses the battery situation)...but on my phone it looked like ~10 minutes of cpu system time for the ksoftirqd process per 2 hrs from the time unplugged. During that same period the android system usage was ~35 sec per 2 hr period. For what it's worth....I just wanted to follow-through on what I said I'd do....

You can increase the number of apps on the bottom to five..
Go to ADW settings -> UI settings ->main dock style and select 5 icons.
Just drag whatever icons you want to the bottom.

AND ADW has a another Dock bar allowing you to add even more apps on the bottom.

Go into ADW settings -> general behavior -> swipe down actions and select Open/close Dockbar.

Go back to the homescreen and do a quick swipe down and another dock bar will show up. you can add another 5 or 6 apps to it. dancedroid I don't know why the dev of ADW doesn't make this a default setting. It's really an awesome feature.

To confirm, which version is this on? 1.8.6?

Where is the speed dial?

The speed dial on the stock MotoBlur was part of the phone.apk (the dialer).

The AOSP dialer (included with Focused) does allow speed dial to work, but does not have the ability to configure speed dial. This is a limitation of the AOSP dialer.

As an alternative, some people have suggested front-end dialers, such as DialerOne, or aContacts from the market.

Total noob question, may be answered somewhere in the 100 pages here, so please don't shoot me... but how do I know if I'm on the leak or not? I've installed 4 ROM's since I've had my phone - Tranquility 3.0, Rubix 1.8.6, and Fission 2.2.1 and Fission 2.2.2. Not sure if any one of them included the leak, and unsure how to tell. Currently running Rubix 1.8.6. Please help. I'd like to update to 1.9.3.
