rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

installed the 1.8.9 non leak now my phone is stuck on the rubix animation screen im i effed now or what??

did you wipe data/cache?

reboot to the stock recovery (power and home) and wipe data/cache.

yea i did all of that an when it rebooted and its stuck on that screen been that way for the past 5 min or so

I would try it again... if wiping data/cache fails again, it's very possible it was a bad download... Only way out that I know of, is to .sbf, and try again. Check the download, make sure it's .. I think it's 79mb?

Last time I used the 2.1 updated rerooted etc and everything was fine I dunno what's wrong this time besides why would it work before and not now

Well, if you are (were) running 2.2 (Froyo) and you flashed 2.1, then you've probably bricked your phone. The 2.1 sbf is totally incompatible with 2.2.

Thought that was if I.was on the leak cause I'm telling u I've ran the sbf it took me back to 2.1 then I updated to 2.2 rerooted etc etc

Which leak? Have you installed the leak from TeamBlackHat? OR have you tried JRummy's RummRx ROM? BOTH of them will put you on the 2.3.320 leak... ??

When you get the bootloader screen, what version of the bootloader does it say you're on?

30.01 = You're safe to .sbf to the original .sbf (2.1)
30.03 = Safe to .sbf to 2.2
30.04 = $#!+ + Creek - Paddle

I'd +1 you but I think your equation was confusing... you used a + as the last letter of $#!+ which, while very close to looking like a T, is confusing when you have a + immediately following it and prior to Creek. I think you should adjust this because it would make it easier to read and understand, even though it means absolutely the same thing.

Question about 1.8.9. I am currently on 1.8.6 and I have tried three times to wipe\data wipe\cache and when i pick the 1.8.9 zip it installed the 1.8.6. Am I doing something wrong? I've downloaded the 1.8.9 on my phone and from the computer and both do the same thing. I would like to be on 1.8.9 since I've reinstalled everything three times now thinking that I was going to be. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.

I never installed either and I'm 99% sure I'm on the 30.01 bootloader

Found one issue that I never noticed with 1.89. During a call I was unable to pull down the notification bar to check a sms. Small issue.

A couple things here... first off, you are on 1.8.9. If you had read any of the first 10 pages you would have seen that it was never updated to say 1.8.9 in the about phone section, which is where I'm assuming you're seeing that you are still on 1.8.6. Also, if you had read any of the later pages, you'd see that 1.9.0 is out now.

What launcher (default ADW, or LPP, or ? Some launchers affect the notification bar, as in hiding them, etc., have you set any changes to the notification bar in the launcher?)

My bad. I guess that is what I get for reading bits and pieces.

No theme. Just the black bar mod. And im using LP. The bar isn't hidden but that makes sense. That might be the problem.

Ahh, just tested. 1.9.0 does this. Another ROM (what I'm running for testing.., not Focused) does this. Wife's stock 2.2 OTA does this.
On all, if you hit home, you can then access the notification bar. I believe it's a "feature"...
