rubiX Focused 1.9.5

Does anyone know if Sephtin's Black Bar Mod for focused 1.6 will work with this new version? I've been on 1.6 for a long time and I -love- this theme.

Does anyone know how to change the default keyboard? I accidentally changed it to Swype, and the settings don't allow you to change it back...

just tried to hit settings > Language & Keyboard
doesn't seem to be an option to toggle between them...
For those of you trying to change your keyboard, all you have to do is long-press on any field area, you will see "input," select that and then choose the keyboard you would like to use. Before you do this, make sure you have checked the keyboard checkbox under "Language and Settings."
Enjoy!:-)

In 1.9.5, I can no longer distinguish between "Screen Timeout" and "Screen Unlock Timer"... This is an irritation because my corporate exchange policy requires a PIN code after 10 minutes of inactivity.

In previous ROMs, I would set the "Screen Timeout" to 30 seconds but would only be asked to re-enter the PIN if 10min of inactivity had lapsed.

In 1.9.5, once the screen turns off at the 30sec timer, I have to re-enter the PIN. And, actually, even if I turn off the screen 2 seconds after I unlock it, I still have to re-enter the PIN.

Am I overlooking a setting somewhere? How do I set the display to turn off at 30 seconds while setting the PIN re-entry period to 10 minutes?

Any pros/cons to this over 1.9?

Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

Pros:
--More stable framework
--WAAAY better battery life
--Less Moto, more AOSP/etc.
--I think quads are likely the same, but feels faster than before.. depending on transitions. Sometimes transitions make things feel slower/faster..
--A few issues fixed that were broken due to framework or apps, such as:
Dialer has landscape mode, if checked (good for car dock), Battery manager FC issue SHOULD be fixed (?), USB issues should be gone (?), a couple other misc things that I can't recall off the top. I still have notes (in a few places), and will update the known issues list for Focused on sephtin.com when I get a chance... :P

Cons:
Waiting to see if testers missed any issues.. that may be construed as cons... :)

One of the "bugs" people "pointed out" was having to wait to re enter their pins and patterns. Timer was removed.

It does not. The framework for 1.9.5 is significantly different.

Considering the default bar is black already.. I have some ideas as to what I'd like to do with a new version for 1.9.5... but I haven't even seen what Drod did for a default theme for it! O.o Let alone the themed version. :S
(Last version I had installed was a test RC version.. ;)

Once I've had a chance to check them out, and see what's viable for them, I'll def. be creating a barmod. If you have suggestions of things you'd like to see, send me a PM. :)

Hmm, I'll need to do some digging into this.
My guess is that with this framework, the timeout for both is set by the display setting. (Which is held in /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db).
IF I can find where the pinlock time-out lives... I'd guess it could be set manually.. until devs can come up with a solution/patch/whatever.

Ahh, or, could be a "feature". I may look into it, but it sounds like this has already been addressed.
