I wiped to go to 2.0(focused) then applied the patch,(no wipe) everything seemed fine until my video record would force close, then 2.0.1 came out I applied with no wipe, now gmail force closes, are these issues from my process or bad installs, or rom?

Hate to use you as an example, but THIS is why a data wipe is completely and fully recommended, regardless.
The patch is different. The video record force closing is weird, and would likely just need a force stop and clear data under settings/manage applciations. Same with the gmail issue, though.
I still recommend a data wipe, from 1.9.7, to 2.0, to 2.0.1, to 2.0.x to 2.x... if it doesn't say required, please, heed the warning, at least
Any issues, do a data wipe next time. If the issues are still present, then it's a bug on my part.
edit: Please don't think I'm picking on you or anything. I'm simply pointing out that issues MAY occur if no wipe is done, and this was a good example, especially since you accepted the possibility of it being a mess up on my end, your end, or possibly both. It's partly my fault, since I never said to wipe between 2.0 and 2.0.1, although it shouldn't be necessary. I think I just need to update the gmail app that installs, since I have it install to data on the first boot, it probably overwrites the newer one, causing a data/cache issue between the two.
