Rumor: Droid 1, Droid Incredible, and Droid X to receive 2.2 update, starting on 8/6

Some people did, some people didn't, and the update still hasn't finished rolling out. The original deadline was for 11:59PM tonight. Don't worry, though, either you'll get it tonight or you'll get it in the next couple of days. Things didn't go as quickly as they'd hoped.

If you don't get it in the next week and are dead-set against doing the update manually, go to the store and they'll try to help you.

Thanks. I was hoping to see if someone who did receive it would post their experience.
 
I'm pretty sure you were being teased. :)

There is, however, a slight chance that your phone will be left out of the rollout by some glitch or accident. That's why I said if you didn't have it in two weeks to go to the store and ask someone to put it on if you don't want to do it yourself.
 
I woke up to an upgrade this morning and hit install but of course it didnt work cus Im rooted and got BB and all that jazz, said my signature was authentic or something. It rebooted and back to how I was. PS I live in Ohio

And in a couple days when you get the update again you can do the same thing. Fun how that works, huh? :)

haha yeah Im not pressed about it. I got Froyo, have had it since Pete released it. I love my Droid but just mind numbingly holding on until November so I can get the Droid A957, whatever thats gonna be haha
 
It's official, 2 droids in my house, my wife got the update almost a week ago and I still sit waiting August 19, 7:00 am :(
 
Well, what do you know. 1 hr after posting, I got the update. Installing now (wasn't in good service area when I got it) ... :)
