Seidio 2600mAh extended battery

got mine yesterday, arrived, tried it on, looked ok ... ish.
then i plugged it in for an 8 hr charge over night.

problem, original battery meter shows a question mark, used batter left widget and it shows as unknown, when plugged into the mains, it says unknown, i thought it would charge it up anyway. so i left it.

today, holy crap, the phone booted itself off, i thought i didn't get a charge last night, and now i plug it to the charger and the phone wont recognize a battery nor would it boot up anymore.

i got a defective one?

sigh, i should have read and trusted those that posted their problems with seidio QC, it's not helping paying that much for a batter that doesn't work, to be frank.

im at work half way through the day and left phoneless. friggin awesome, thanks seidio. will file for a replacement, or exchange with other stuff.

or is there a way to bring the phone back to life again? i do not have the original batter with me either.

Wow sorry to hear that you got a crappy battery. I got my battery when they first came out and I have not had any issues with it. I think you are the 2nd person in this thread to have that issue leading me to believe its the newest batch of the batteries that have an issue. Seidio is pretty good with dealing with this kind of stuff so hopefully they have you taken care of ASAP.

Maybe you can try cleaning the contacts on the battery but other than that I think you are out of luck.

Thanks for your response, i tried cleaning it but no luck.

as soon as i received it, i had a defective battery door that had a gap on one side and overlaps alittle too much on the other, so it's at an angle already.

since seidio was not Online with their live chat, so i left them a message yesterday already, but no response. sent them another note about this battery just now, see what i get as a response.

i hear all you guys get excellent Customer Service, but I'm yet to be convinced.

I did drop them another question some time ago before i made a purchase, and it was also left unanswered.

Unacceptable quality control.
i would have expected charging / usage tests should have been done to batteries, especially one that is so costly.

@fujitsupalm Try calling them its much faster. I've sent them emails before and they never respond and the live chat thing just takes way too long.

Are you sure your charger is working?
You should be able to charge and watch the mv reading to up till it reaches a full 4200mv when fully charged.

I"ve had my phone not boot after a total discharge one time but only once.

Give your battery at least a couple of minutes to charge before you attempt a reboot if the battery is completely dead. Often simply putting the battery on charge will cause it to boot up.

The reason I'm questioning your charger is your having issues with two different batteries.

You could have a phone issue if the battery if fine "especially two batteries". I would pull the battery and reinsert and then try to boot up.

I got mine yesterday and installed it. My factory battery meter showed displayed a ?mark inside the icon. I hooked it up to computer to let it charge for the recommended 8 hours. When I woke up around 3am the phone was dead. It had been charging since 7pm. So I hooked it up to my yall charger until 7am. It seemed like it charged but died when I uninstalled battery left. Any suggestions on why I am getting a questionmark in the battery icon and why it appears like the phone is not accepting the battery?

Try putting your battery in again... maybe a pin is not getting connection on the back of the battery....

If you consistently don't get an error with your stock battery and you do with that one.... it must be bad.....

mines showing the ? mark with the stock battery after i installed Battery Left idk if it matters or not i guess i'll find out

oh no no no, sorry i wasn't clear on this, it's my first battery with them, it wont charge on this extended battery, but the charger works fine with my original battery.

well both the charger at work and at home has done me proud previously.

the readings stayed the same with the widget, it showed no status change, no readings changes.

i tried the charger at home, one at work, and the usb connection, no luck in any one of them.

problem is i live in hk and it would just add to my unnecessary costs. i just filed an RMA as well, so if i dun get a response like they say in 2 working days, im calling them.

battery left

i think battery left is the problem after my last post i tried to turn the phone off and it locked up for almost a min and right as i was about to pull the batt it forced a reboot on its own. i think im going uninstall battery left. never had a problem with my phone till i installed it today

oh and er... when i plug the charger to the phone (with or without battery) it shows this always lit red light, and i notice when i charge my original battery, it shows a green light or flashing green, cant remember but never red.

it wont register the battery at all for some strange reason, when i try to switch the phone on, it shows a screen with a battery with a ? on it for couple of seconds then it disappears again.

I have a question for those that have it .. the rebooting you are doing to see battery percentage that just so you see it right like im sayin say urbattery app thinks the battery is dying but its really not does the phone its self react that its dying by giving u the low battery warnings and what not even though the battery isnt really dying

Ya the phone will start flashing the red light when the battery gets low enough but the phone wont die for hours.
