Seidio Case

The origional case they sent me was damaged. one of the clips was bent and would not hold the top peice on right. so i called and they shipped me a replacement. the problem is... taht i like in an apartment and the replacement case was delivered, but it never made it to my door. I don't know if someone stole it form outside my door or they put it at the wrong door, but I NEVER GOT IT!! This was on the 10th. i called today and they told me i needed to fill out a claim form and they would look at it on Monday.... its gonna take them 6 days to look at a paper i faxed them with my address on it and a box checked Lost!!!! WTF! Since i don't have a case i dropped my cell and F'ed up the corner. I am soo pissed about this. they should have sent me anouther case or taken care of be a long time ago. I will most likely never buy from them again.

On a side note below is a pic of a friends case on my phone today. where the red circle is... the top part of the phone (screen side) seems to be lower down then the bottom half. So if you are looking at the pic exactly the top half is closer to me then the bottom is.

sorry, but thats not their fault. and ofcourse they wouldnt rush to send u another case. if they just did that without looking into it some people would abuse that and get free cases. come on McFly

I have a question for those of you who have a naked screen and the Seidio case. Do you find that dirt and dust build up at the spots where the case meets the screen? I ask because I like my naked screen but when I had my Curve and I took the case off there was a line of buildup. It comes right off but I don't like the idea. It is making me consider getting a screen protector.

TIA

Ya you see dust build up where the case and phone meet. Also you will notice that you can't complete wipe the screen clean because the dirt and oil just get pushed to the same spot as the dust.

I just ordered a droid, it should arrive on Thursday :)

I am considering getting this case in addition to a zagg screen I already ordered, but there's one problem. I tried out the droid on display in the local verizon store and it felt strange when I hit the top row of the keyboard. I have large hands/thumbs, and it felt weird to have my thumbs touching the vertical part of the upper 'half' as I pressed the top row.

Will this case make it impossible for me to hit the top row of keys on the keyboard? I'm sure I can/will get used to it eventually; I'm just used to texting on an env3 which has a larger keyboard with room above the top row.

Thanks in advance for all responses!

def not impossible to hit the top screen. I'm heavy user of physical keyboard and it works great even with the seido case on it. Just remember, buy a screen protector to avoid getting dust on it. I have a boxwave clear touch anti glare which reduces dust, fingerprints and smudges and it also anti glare is well. I lose optical clarity and the slick glass feeling of the screen but I still love the feeling. It has a nice soft smooth touch to the screen and and compliments my seido case very well.

I've gotten over those two minor quirks I mentioned yesterday which were really nothing, but now I've noticed something else. At least 3 of the tabs on the screen piece are a tad too thick, and now there are 3 visible scratch lines where that tabs rubbed against the phone's keyboard frame...and my screen is already a good distance from the frame when closed w/o the case. The scratches can't seem to be rubbed away by hand, does anyone have any idea how to fix them?

Olletsocmit: my phone has the same sorta uneven height screen...I think most droids are like that.

My case just came and I love it! Fits great and really doesn't add much bulk. No problem with sliding the keyboard out. The Seidio logo on back is just the raised kind like I had on my BB Curve case. I loved my Curve case and the Droid one is just as good. I got the Ash Gray and it looks really nice. Now if they will just start selling the dock I will be a very happy camper.

I got my Seidio case today. It fits pretty good, very thin. Sliding the phone open does require a little more effort now, but I assume over time, this will get better. One thing that the case fixed is in the upper left corner(or entire left side), there is a small gap and if you press hard enough on the screen, the screen moves. With the Seido case, there no longer is any play on the left side of the phone, it feels more solid.

I dont know why I got the weird gold/yellow color, but I did :)

There are two imperfections in the case, probably from the mold or dirt, both on the top cover. One in the lower left corner, one towards the upper left.

(It Looks like the case is pushing the bottom left side of the phone up, but it is not the case, my phone is like this without the case?)

Overall, it is a nice thin case, but I dont know if it is worth $29 shipped.

Wow! That actually looks really, really nice.

Waiting on my Droid now. In 5+ years of owning a cell phone, I've dropped my phone once. Granted, all three of my phones have been inexpensive dumb phones that wouldn't have cost much to replace. So, I'm trying to decide if I want to get a case or not.

I've already decided that if I do get a case, I'm going to get one of the Seidio cases. They look absolutely amazing. I'm typically not a big fan of yellowish-gold colors, but wow. That color has looked pretty interesting, and those pictures you just posted are gorgeous. I'm now going back and forth between that and the sapphire color.

So, long story short: Thanks a lot. You just made my decision that much harder. :icon_ devil:

I received my black Seidio case and holster last week and love it. I also have the Body Glove case and the Verizon shell/holster combo, both of which are stuck in a desk collecting dust now. I can't help but think that I have a Droid case addiction because I really want the Seidio case in ash gray now!

Wow, they really ship fast - 3 day turn around via USPS. Case is really nice. Have to admit though that I'm missing the naked feel a bit.

I took a look at my friend's case today. The smooth feeling feels great. It thin enough that its not bothersome to hold. I wonder how the protection is...
