Seidio Case

Hello All,

Thank you all for the feedbacks, all the PMs are taken care of already, please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Regards,

i have a few questions:
i have the innocase surface and i want to either get the plastic holster, or the leather holster (both by seidio) ... i want to know which one transmits vibration better.

in other words, when i have the phone set to vibrate, i want to ensure that when i have the phone holstered to my belt, i will feel it when it vibrates ...

with regard to the leather case, it has magnets in it, do those magnets put the phone in dock mode ?

The leather cases are substantial and the magnets cause no issues. The holster is a thinner rigid material and it leaves much of the phone exposed. I have both and i use the leather case when I don't need the phone and it is stored. I use the holster when I need to keep the phone immediately available. More vibration is conveyed by the holster I think.

My Seidio case is about 3 months old. Today when I had the back piece off, I noticed there were two wear points on the ridge by the camera cutout. If I held it up to the light, I could actually see through the case at those points. It doesn't appear that it's rubbed all the way through the case, just that the coating is rubbed off which makes it translucent. Anyone else notice their Seidio case wearing through? I carry mine in my front pocket but I recently purchased a Seidio car dock, which has a rather snug fit and is covered in the same sort of rubberized plastic. I wonder if the car dock is doing it.

Just got the replacement case front for my Seidio Innocase. It fits perfectly. I had been using the back only, but now my Droid looks complete.

One thing I've noticed after a week and a half of use is that the bottom edge (by the verizon logo) creaks a bit and wiggles slightly when you push on it. Doesn't affect the holster use at all it's just annoying. I don't want old car sounds on my new case :)

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or has done something to cure this. I think I'm going to take the back pieces of my invisishield off and maybe it would fit a bit better?

I just noticed the rubbberized coating of my case wearing off the panel near the USB port. I am not particularly hard on my phone. It travels in a leather horizontal pouch in my purse when not in use. Occasionally I wear it with the holster but the abrasion appears to bee where the case contacts the Seidio desktop cradle. i use the cradle on my desk during the day.

It's a little surprising that this is an issue in the short time that I've had the case on the phone - I received this case on 1/16/10. It isn't even 60 days.

I' ve not had a great deal of success in dealing with Seidio customer service - although I see on the forum that others have.

I am dreading having to call them about this case issue and spending enormous amounts of time trying to resolve the issue.

I guess I'll be forced to go to some other case solution..... a shame - seemed like a nice product line.

Mine does this too. Far as I can tell, it's because the tab for that corner is above the camera button instead of beneath it. It doesn't really bother me, so I'm not trying to solve it.

Hello All,

I will be joining the Droid family in 2 days when my Droid arrives via Amazon and I am completely stoked. This forum was a huge influence on my decision to pull the trigger and purchase this phone and judging from what I read on here I will not be disappointed.

In regards to the cases, I love the Seidio colored cases (especially the burgundy one) but am wondering if the same colors for cases will be made that will fit the extended battery, both reg and slim, as I understand I will need if I heavily use the phone.

Sorry if this question was posted already but 52 pages is a lot of pages to go through...

Face cover popping off

I just bought the blue Seidio case and was pretty happy with it. I went on a snowboarding trip and put the phone with case securely mounted inside a heavy ziplock bag to protect the phone from moisture.

The phone was in an upper chest zippered pocket all day in 35F-40F temps and doesn't get knocked around much. Each evening when I get in to the hotel room, I take out my phone to find that the face cover for the case has popped off and will not engage the Droid face to put back on.

Seems like different thermal expansion for Droid vs case is different and the little tabs on the lower case cover(Back/Option/Home/Search) is a hair less than the top to help it grip the Droid sliding half. Therefore, it pops off the Droid and won't get put back on.

If my description is unclear, let me know and I'll take a closeup shot.

Same problem i'm having... If the tabs were on the side of the screen vs the top and bottom, it'd be cherry.
