Seidio Case

Seems to be this case only has a limited amount of times you can take the case off before the tabs will no longer grip onto the phone. Happened to me the first time I took the front off. Still awesome case, I just suggest not to take the front off since there's really no need to

A friend of mine has had enough of his, he got big fingers the top row on the keyborad he could not comfortably reach. And since I don't use the keyboard much so what da... I'll give it a go.

Yep, the front part on the right top corner, it's always popping out and a little nudge it will come off, I have my friend's permission to chuck it.

I'll just hope for the next version.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, can someone please point me in the direction of a hard snap-on case that actually fits the phone? I had pinned all my hopes on Seidio because I heard such great things about them. Then the case didn't fit and I didn't want to play the back-and-forth waiting game everyone here talks about. I have tried four other cases, only one of which actually stayed on the phone...but maybe that's because it was only a back piece...and I want a FULL cover.
I really, really want to like Seidio and try again, but I just can't do the back and forth. Why is it so hard to find a good, hard case? Please help. Suggestions?

Currently, we are only shipping the new version and will not have any issues fitting your Droid.

I always had that issue with every Seidio case I had.

The Body Glove I have fits perfectly. A tad larger but really protects the phone. It's really not a big deal to carry, not much larger than my iphone with an iSkin case.

i think this just goes to show the variations in the build of the Droid, as opposed to the build of the cases. My Seidio case fits fine, but the Body Glove I had, not so much. It rubbed on one side, causing the slider and screen to separate more than they should when opening/closing the slider. I returned it immediately.

Not at all. Every single Seidio case I had was the same for every model. I got them for several different blackberries and all were the same. I also didn't get the cheap model. The snaps just have a very limited life span, perhaps also because of the desire to make the case that thin. I must have owned 5-6 different Seidio cases and all had the same characteristic. If you need to do a battery pull, this case can be a challenge in the long run and you'll probably need to replace it.

I was talking about the fit of various cases on the droid. Not so much about taking the case on and off. You commented abiut how the body glove fit perfect and I was just saying that mine did not. Some people get bad fitting seidio cases but the bulk at least in this thread have not. Just makes me wonder if there are variations in the tolerances of the droid too, and not just the cases.

The Droid have variations in the tolerances. We did receive some complaints (small percentage) about top cover fitting with early batch of case . Since then we have modified the mold to accommodate more tolerances. The new version was released and shipped since early Feb; we have not received any complaints about fitting yet. Currently, we are only shipping the new version.

Went through three (or was it four?) Seidio cases before my issues were resolved. But every one I received fit perfectly. And as detailed somewhere in this enormous thread, Seidio was unfailingly accommodating to my complaints.

I love my Seidio case, just as I loved the ones on two previous phones. Does an excellent job of protecting the phone when my clumsiness kicks in. And it does so without adding much bulk to the phone.

Have to say though, that when I finally convinced my wife to upgrade her old phone to a Droid she was delighted to find that her phone seemed so much smaller and lighter than mine. The difference between her naked Droid and my Seidio-clad version are miniscule, but they're enough to make a difference to her.

I would like to try the innocase for the droid, I think it may work better than on my Storm (tabs broke off) had to remove it so many times to remove the battery. I think thats my only issue with trying this case is that it is so nice and tight and that will make it very hard to get off when you do need to pull the battery thus broken tabs :(

No issues for me. I got my black Seidio case delivered, mounted and tested without any hiccups. Been running with it for a couple months now. Very sleek look and feel!
