Side by Side Comparison Pics

Yeah, capitalism at it's best, but if we didn't have capitalism, we'd all be using phones like they have in Russia (crap) and living in housing like they have in Russia (way crap). I'll take the higher prices and have the choice to have the best technology if I want it over forced to get what "they" want me to have. Yea USA!!

I paid $299 for my original Droid, so I don't see why people complain about paying similar prices for a device that's released 2 years later.

My point was, for what our phones do for us now, it's the cheapest piece of tech that I buy, yet it's probably the device I use the most.

I paid more for my blu-ray player that I use maybe once a week.

That is a good point, and good perspective the more I think about what you're saying.

Off topic, I paid $299 for the PS1 hahhaa what a rip!

Honestly I don't mind paying $349 for the 32GB Nexus, I think it's worth that (if it holds up) because I'll be using it for nearly 2 years. I can't think of anything I buy for $350 bucks that last 2 years now a days.

I've blown twice that on a Monitor that didn't last 2 years and it does of hell of a lot less than the Nexus will for me.

Not to get too technical, but you aren't paying $349. That's the carrier subsidized price.

You eventually end up paying for the full retail price of the phone (around $600-$700) because Verizon rolls this cost in with their service. This is why you get charged an ETF if you drop them before you contract is up (because they can't recoup their costs if you leave your contract early).

The $349 is really more of a "down payment".

I just hope the off contract price isn't too steep. I want this phone but no upgrade 'till 6/12. :disappointed:

Yeah for better or worse, i'm stuck with my Bionic another 2 years.

I wanted to wait just a bit longer to check out the nexus, but my OG droid had other ideas.
