[ROM] Simplex-V1.3 | Ics4.04 |10/1/2012 | The Revival!

I mean i could do that... but apex already has settings available via pressing the menu button from the home screen so it would be a little pointless... lol

Thanks man! Btw i swapped the gapps on this latest build to eliminate the signature issues on play store update.

Does this Roms camera go up to 8MP or just 5MP like the Eclipse ROM? Also does it record in 1080p?
I am getting my RAZR today and am trying to find a daily driver with no bloat. I have never had a phone above Gingerbread so am looking forward to this.

Thanks for your hard work and time!!

battery issue

Hi I have been using the rom for about two weeks and it is amazing. My only problem is that I am noticing a lot of battery drain. I have deleted all apps and started over one by one to make sure it was not them. Also did all the wipes that are discussed. any tips on this? does using setcpu help? or smart actions? I have tried them and they don't seem to have an impact either way. I am on a regular razr, but with the stock rom I am getting twice as much battery life with all the same settings.

thank you for your help and again excellent work on this

awesome job! u fixed the battery! i am overclocking my phone, and i still have a really good battery life. tonight, if i remember i am going to see what the battery drain over night is. pre ICS i would only lose 1-2% overnight, but it has changed since the update. this rom has helped get me back up to almost orginal battery loss life.

here is the updated list of the apps i have deleted.....
* type: su (enter)

* type: mount -o rw,remount /system (enter)

* type: rm -r /system/app/(name of app).apk (enter)

DockService.apk
Exchange.apk
FileManager.apk
ForestWallpaper.apk
GenieWidget.apk
com.google.android.gm-1.apk (gmail) (need to reboot phone afterwards)
LiveWallpapers.apk
LiveWallpapersPicker.apk
MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk
MCDownloadManager.apk
MotoDockHelperService.apk
MotorolaAccountSetup.apk
MusicFX.apk
OutOfBox.apk
SetupProvider.apk
SmartActionFW.apk
com.motorola.contextual.smartrules-1.apk (part of smart actions) (need to reboot phone afterwards)
SmartCarDock.apk
StickyNoteWidget.apk
Swype.apk
Talk.apk
talkback.apk
Tasks.apk
Trebuchet.apk
VSuiteApp.apk
com.google.android.youtube-1.apk (youtube) (need to reboot phone afterwards)

i also have Apex in /system/app folder. now that it's in that folder, will it automaticly update? someone posted that they had to redownload their app because it won't update on it's own now. besides that one app you told me about in the past, is there any other way to change the 4G icon (like how u do the battery mod)? that app wouldn't change the 4G icon, just the battery.

As far as the battery on my maxx, its honestly like heaven. Unless I'm doing gaming i leave my phone underclocked at 1.0 ghz. Still no lag or waiting around. I unplug 6 am and at 3 the next morning ive seen it at 50% still. When i had the regular droid Razr on stock gingerbread, Id be lucky to be at 20% by 3 in the same afternoon. I love it!

Bluetooth pariings

ROM has been working great for me.

Battery life is better and zero force closes, and keeping it underclocked at 1ghz makes for a great ROM.

I was curious if anyone was having problems with bluetooth pairings? Prior to this ROM I was paired with a the Miccus Mini-jack RX, so I can stream music through my car. http://www.miccus.com/products/blubridge-mini-jack-rx

Other than that the ROM has been flawless.

I am still able to connect to my other bluetooth devices w/out a problem. I bought another adapter to test and looks ended up with the same results.

Just curious - thanks again for your hard work.

UPDATE: - I installed a backup of eclipse 1.2 that had the bluetooth pairings, backed it up using Titanium Backup. I installed the backup of Simplexrom 1.2, restored bluetooth parings using Titanium Backup, Titanium Backup prompted me for a reboot. After the reboot, I was able to connect w/out issue.

wow~It's a very very good view & great rom.
If my XT910 can use that will be nice.:biggrin:

I've tried a few different ROMs and I'm settling on this one. It's just so smooth and no FCs. EmericanX knocked it out of the park.

Are you running a CDMA phone or GSM. If I understand correctly this ROM is CDMA only

EmericanX, will it hurt if I upgrade to the 215 leak while on this ROM?

I am still on the 211 kernel but ive seen plenty running simplex on the 215 so you should be fine.

I can tell you for a fact that it works the other way around. Another project im brewing is off of 215 and its running fine on the 211 kernel.
