If you are still flashing the GB files try to grab a screen shot with the errors. This might help some others to know what to expect as normal errors. Just click the window and expand it. Hold down the alt key and do your screen shot. On my dell laptop I have to press the function key and F11. Then open paint or picture manager or something similar. Click paste, save and post here. I should have thought of that when I did the jump last night. The webtop part takes the longest, it's the biggest image.

That's not a bad idea. Having run into so many issues, I specifically went through the batch file to look for errors. The only ones I recall seeing are the ones that say "INFOPreflash validation failure". I think I had 2 or 3, but I can't be sure. I just don't remember seeing any other types of errors when it finally worked.

well, made it through, just finished reconfiguring my phone after the leak install.

I went from 206 to 211 without a problem.

All is well thus far.

Thanks, so just use method one and I can go straight to 211? Do I need to use OTA RootKeeper or I can I use the expoit from this thread after updating? Also, if I am already on 219, do I still need to do the fastboot step?

Yes, you can go directly to 211.

You can use rootkeeper or use the exploit, they both work.

I suggest that you still fastboot 219 so you have a clean slate to start the upgrade process from.

well here goes, phone arrived a bit after 6pm (lazy UPS, they put it on the truck at 448am...) managed to get it and get it in the house without her knowing it. getting ready to start in a minute after she leaves the room...

If its a new phone be sure it's on 219 and not still 215. Otherwise the ICS OTA will fail.

i tried this and i though safestrap was uninstalled but it wasnt and now i belivie my phone bricked. any help. it bricked after step 2

If you are on GB still and tried the OTA for ICS and had safestrap it will fail, but should just reboot to your GB.

i followed everything and after it does the droid screen its just a black screen =/

I believe you finished flashing 219 and the ICS kernel. Now you have a blank screen so press and hold volume up & down & power. Then go into recovery and flash the update.

ok im starting it over ill see if its doing the same thing after that point
