Sirius XM Android app is here

Since I use this in my car, it would much more convenient if I didn't have to push a button every time it loses the data connection. It would make much more sense if it automatically connected once the connection is reestablished.

I totally agree, even though (at the moment) I'm not using it in my car. Would be way easier if I didn't have to worry about it on my desk.

I tried this for a few days...the music channels didn't do much for me. There was one or talk type shows that have my interest...but I can't see paying $xx for it. I tried Pandora (last time i tried it on my pc - a year or two ago, i wasn't all that impressed), this time around I found Pandora to be just the right fit for me :)

So, an unbiased opinion; Pandora delivers better bang for the buck - at least for me.

I’m a Sirius subscriber, and have online access so I downloaded the app. Works great for me, but one thing I can’t figure out – after I downloaded it, there’s no icon along with the rest of my app icons. Every time I want to open it, I have to reinstall and it opens automatically. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong and how I can get an icon to appear? Thanks.

Look under "O" for Online. They need to rename it.

Thanks! Wow I feel dumb. Found it......... dancedroid

I noticed that issue as well, so I renamed it on my main screen with BetterCut. Doesn't change the menu entry, but it works for your main screen.

I got a call while listening to Sirius. The music cut out and the phone rang, except I was unable to answer the call. When the call disconnected I got the lost data message.
I've had a problem like this a few times,...
But, on my end, I can't answer the call at all,...
The "unlock slide" won't move & the call goes to voicemail
If I reboot the phone, it works fine for a few hours b4 I can't answer the phone.
I've been listening to the free trial on my stereo bluetooth headset while I work out at the Y & threw the AUX port in my truck & my DeWalt jobsite radio.
I'm real happy with the sound quality! I could drop my Inno & the subscription in my truck if I keep this. Plus my Wife's Mustang has an AUX port as well.
I won't ever drop my XM, I HATE commercial radio!
An other issue I've found, if you don't "plug in" your battery will be dead in about 4hrs listening to this app.
Problems with the app:
1) Resource HOG!
2) No album art...
3) No switch to Horizontal View
4) Should be .99/mo or free... (for Sirius|XM subscribers)
5) Stupid "name"
6) No Widget...
7) Shouldn't "clear" when you tell your phone you don't care about your new tweets & craigslist updates.
8) Not in the market

BTW, I'm on my 2nd "7 day free trial" dancedroid

the Nail in the Coffin for me!

I thought I posted this earlier in the thread but I can't find it. So if I'm posting twice get hold of a mod and tell them about it. :D

XM Channel Lineup

Listings for what channels you get with the Sirius/XM app.

Thanks Hook. I haven't seen this before: what does this do to you data package? I mean, if you listen on your Droid for say 3 hours a day, what kind of data/Mbits are you using?

If I can't get (XM) 164 or Sirius 118, then 'it ain't never gonna happen!' Those are the calls for "Classic Radio", which has all of the old-timey radio show, from the 30's, 40's 50's etc, like "The Shadow", and the 1950-ish issues of Dragnet, and Fibber McGee, and Abbot N Costello, and Red Skelton, and a gagillion others. Nothing better than an episode of some old thriller-mystery on the drive home!

Ok.... I think I might have figured out why I can not listen. Could someone please let me know if I am right???. Even though I have a Lifetime membership with free online listening, I would need to purchase the premium package for $2.99 a month. Is that correct? Is there a way to listen online through the Droid? Sorry if this was already addressed...
thanks!
Mike

I called XM and was told the Online and the Droid app use the same login so if you have online already paid for, it should work.

It sounds like I need to call them....... Because Ii do have free online but I can't log on using my Droid...
Thanks
