Sirius XM Android app is here

similar situation

you need to pay the 150 just to get the bare bones droid edition...unless i am wrong...do you think this is worth it.....I am doubting it.....unless there is something I am missing

it's different for everyone. if you're just looking into it for Stern, i'd say no it's not worth it. i have a few favorite DJs on there, i also have 2 different Sirius car radios. i can always find something i want to listen to. so for me i think it's worth it.

plus if you're going with the bare minimum of online listening, you can't get Stern through the droid anyway. only on a computer or through an actual sirius car radio.

the best thing to do is take advantage of the 7 day trial, and listen to as many channels as you can. see if you can find anything interesting that you think you'd wanna listen to everyday. and decide for yourself if it's worth it.

I've been an XM subscriber for about 3-4 years. I think its a little pricey for my TWO car radios, but I like the availability and choice, especially when driving long distances, or in places where other reception is not good. In both cars, it is almost used exclusive of other media (CD, FM, etc). AND, I just added an Onyx + 'Home Base' (portable XM radio and dock/speaker setup), so I already have THREE subscriptions. I'm just not going to give them an extra $13 per month to listen via a Droid. It seems that for the 'size' of the application, and reception, it should be about $1.99 per month.

But, for those who have NOT already paid for other sources, if all of the channels are available, and you live in an area that has great reception, then I would think it might seem to be a good deal.

I like the product. Not the billing!

I'm also a subscriber and called Sirius/XM. It's an extra $2/month for me. They explained if I'm paying that for their Sirius/XM online it includes the app.

Now I know I'm not gonna keep it! When I bluetooth from the droid to my car stereo/ nav system it sounds horrid. Droid live, pandera and my music player all sounds good playing via bluetooth... Sirus= crap sound

I can only guess there onto my plan... I was gonna dump the $12 buck a month plan and just stream it via droid. Can someone hack it so it plays good via bluetooth ?

If you are an existing subscriber and sign up for the additional $2.99 internet/smart phone subscription, will you then be able to get the Stern show on the Droid?

Please answer yes or no. It's impossible to follow this thread for that one bit of information, everyone keeps talking in abbreviated sentences and beating around the bush.

really? it's not impossible to follow this thread.. there's a few clear No's about Stern.

Nope. Stern is not and will not be available. Even though I dont like Stern I feel for ya cause Ill be doing the exact same thing with Jason Ellis and my bike.

This apk is different from others. It did not install after running.
I find it in my downloads folder and when I run it, it send sme to Appp Manager.
In App Manager I have a choice to "Uninstall" or "Launch". I launch it and it works but there is no Sirius app installed on my device. So when I close it I have to go thru the whole routine again.

After installing, look under O for Online, which is how it's named.
