Sourcery 2.2 - Full Version

I've pretty much wiped all the backups of my GB-based ROMs off my my Droid. I just have backups of Bugless Beast, Sourcery, and original rooted FRG83G. I'll try the new GB ROMs when they come out but the current crop that are laughably called "Stable" are anything BUT on the OG Droid.

Can't wait to see what Pete can come up with in GPA16. Also curious to see CyanogenMod 7.1, but for now I'm using Sourcery.

I'd still like to see Bugless updated to the FRG83G level of Froyo, though. That's a nice, fast ROM but I rarely use it now that I've come to terms with Sourcery. I don't trust using FRG83D levels of FroYo since it does have a known bug in it. That rules out Sapphire and CM6 too.

Is ther anything special you have yo do to get the theme switcher to work....it goes through the terminal emulator step but never changes the theme

Which recovery are you using, for the auto theme install to work you have to be on Clockwork, if you are using SP or RZ you have to manually flash the update.zip file that will be on your zip after the terminal emulator process is done.

Nope, you choose the theme you want, click on it, it should open terminal and you should see the download going to 100%, phone would restart into recovery, install and restart again all with you not touching anything. Just to make sure - go to Settings > About Phone > Build Version and tell me what it says.

be advised

the 100% comes long before the complete theme is downloaded.
thats a terminal probelm it does estimate well.
watch the size of the file instead youll see it keeps going up even though its at 100%.
themes are pretty big are you sure your waiting long enough.

Try to do it wifi as well, if your screen goes off turn it back on to make sure it completes the process.

I got it....I did all of what you all said and reflashed Clockwork justin case and it worked...thanks guys, this rom is running very well now

What size is the zip file? Going to finally flash this on my wife's phone. Her phone doesn't download well and the first download was only 23kb.

This is a great rom, thanks for all the effort it's running excellently.

I initially made this account just to voice my thanks, but I've hit a bug that is inconsequential, but that i want to ask about. I was trying to set some wallpaper, but instead of the stock papers there is an adw wallpapers that has only one pic in it. if i select this pic it force closes. my impression is that this isn't meant to be a wallpaper. so i just downloaded something from the market. just want to confirm nothing is amiss here. what is adw anyways?

Thanks guys.

Adw is the home replacement app. I would guess that what you are trying to set as wallpaper is maybe an icon or something. You should be able to use any image as wallpaper. There is a whole section for wallpapers here in the forum with lots of interesting things.
