Well, I've got 6 widgets going, so that could be part of it. They are:
1. Weather channel widget - the stock D1 weather app was too inaccurate and inconsistent for my taste
2. Power settings widget - I like being able to turn on/off wireless, bluetooth et al. Without having to go through 3 or 4 menus first to do so
3. Silent toggle widget - for quick-muting my phone when I'm at the cinema, work or such similar places. I can part with this one.
4. Music app widget - for playing my music when I'm in the car.
5. Tesla LED flashlight toggle - pretty self-explanitory
6. S2 calendar widget - I like having a calendar availabe and visible without menu browsing

As for screen brightness, I usually keep it at about the middle; I know it eats more power, but the lowest setting bugs out my eyes.

If it were me some of those widgets could go. weather channel is probably the best widget for weather(other than it's obvious lack of matching any theme) so it would be alright to stay. the power settings widget, silent toggle widget, and the flashlight widget however are all made obsolete with the galaxy S widget in the pulldown. but none of those widgets require the data connection so they're not really pulling on your battery like the weather widget is. calendars are highly personal to each user...i don't use one. as long as i can pull down and see what day it is i'm good...

Well, fancy widget has weather so im good there. Power, led light and silent can all be replaced by glaxay s power widget (sourcey settings) music widget isn't much of a power hog, calender widget i dont use althought i am a big calendar user, i have five calendars sync to my phone and the constant sync use to drain the battery so i just use a calendar app shortcut on the home screen and no widget. And now im using Slayher 900lv kernel uc to 800/250. Btw, galaxy s power widget also has option for music controls and Sourcery has option to display on the lock screen. Hopfully you get better battery life now, i am still using the same battery i got with the phone about 16 month ago and every night after work i'm at 10-20 % with 15hrs of use.

As far as post count, i'm not racing with anyone but i signed up for DF in december just to thank Eagle and gflam for this rom, so all my posts are either here for support or elsewhere in the forum raving about this rom :) and as you all know i like raving about Sourcery.

Hmm, I'll have to play with the galaxy s settings, then. I chose the theme I'm using because I thought the power bar in the notification area was part of the theme.

But anyway, I think the kernel I was using was a major player in the battery life issue. Since switching to the slayher 1000, I've been running my phone for 8 hrs now, and I'm just now at about half power, with part of that drain going to a long phone call (an hr ago, I was at about 2/3 power).

The Galaxy S theme isn't a part of any theme it can be added for any of them. Play with it there are many options for it... if it happens that it disappears on you its a known issue on many roms, just change the indicator colors and it will show up again.

looks like yank is the real post whore. but you forgot about chaos...he should post here too....ain't this where his theme debuted? and he was perty good about support too...

I haven't seen "danceswithbongs" around for a while...........I really enjoyed reading his posts laughing my @ss off. Did he get the boot or what

Just went from miui.us then miuiandroid last couple of builds severe memory hogs. Did multi partitions and ran v6 script (before miui had it in their build )
link2sd and swapper 2. 3 partitions.
Just to much work to get a really cool but really slow and buggy phone. Miss the customization but this rom works! Camera works. (Which is a slow aggravating issue with miui)

You can sort of lock home into memory
V6 script will do it with bulletproof launcher
I would leave the memory tweaks alone as this rom works great already. Or you cab tweak the oom ( out of memory) settings on your own.

Links2sd works great with this. 276 apps and plenty of memory to spare.
Only running two partitions now. Dont need a swap one.

I agree, just came from 6.17. It is a very unique rom, but very bad memory. I just came back to sourcery last nite
And couldn't be happier.

I toyed with MIUI for a couple of hours or so awhile back... its slick, while configuring it i had my GV extension on my Chrome browser on my laptop notifying me on four voice-mails without my phone ringing even once... i realized my OG is mad at me for deSourcerizing it even if it was just for learning. Sourcery was up and running with in minutes after that :lifting:
