Stuck on bootloader

Yea. Youtube has also been exceptionally slow for me today. I'm living in NC, where snow is a rarity so it might just be messing Bellsouth up bad. I'm from NY aswell and always laugh at some people who overreact.

I love watching the news when people in Texas deal with a quarter inch of ice. Love seeing those 4x4 pickups with the offroad tires spin out and slam into telephone poles because the good ol' boys never learned the difference between driving on asphalt and ice. :D

I live in socal where a mild drizzle is likely to shut down our local economy

Yea, seems like the game you told me to test out has stalled out aswell. Stuck at 32.9mb/268mb. Chrome says it's downloading at 13.9kb/s, but it definitely hasn't changed in awhile.

Any idea how I should phrase it? "I haz interwebz but itz slow nd the downloadz dunt work" doesn't seem like it will get me many results.

Tell them the situation. You have been trying to dl some large important files but your speed is falling off and downloads failing.

Cool thanks. Time to listen to elevator music..

Oh gawd.
"Are you using Windows, or Macintosh?"
"Are you using Internet Explorer?"

Try this. "Hi [insert made up name here since you'll be talking to India]. My name is [insert real name here]. I've been having some troubles with my internet connection the past couple days while trying to download large files and I was wondering if there was a problem with the system or if it was on my end."

You'll have to answer a few questions, but basically tell them flat out small files and web browsing has been fine but YouTube videos and anything over 40MB slows to to a crawl and then dies.

The one reason I hate calling tech support is because they treat you as if it's 1995 and the first personal computer just came out. I once called tech support because my new computer wouldn't start, and they told me to restart it.

I had to go through two hours and three levels of tech support one day for them to tell me if I ever couldn't turn my PC on with the printer attached I had to unplug the printer from the PC and pop it back on as soon as the screen lit up. "The printer builds an electron wall and it keeps the computer from booting" was the official response.

Now that's good design work right there.

Fun. Now they can't find my information in their system. And two different people have asked me for the same information multiple times each.
