Sudden overheating and psychically slippery phone

I would normally suggest factory restore twice in a row, but you've gone through far more cleanings than that. Maybe it's time to get a new phone. Just make sure it's not a first generation Samsung Note 7 or you'll have even more overheating issues.

It's not April 1st or groundhog day is it?
Who is your carrier and what model S5 do you have?
Not to be a doubting Thomas here, but the "list" of things you've tried would be impossible on the 98.99% of S5's out there, which is why I ask.
Can you please post a screen shot of what temp your device is running?

This is definitely one for the record books, but we'll do our best to help you resolve this. (some great suggestions already posted)

I have seen my cpu at 74 celcius once but in 70 celcius range more than a few times before while using twrp but it still works just fine I own a g900v

I have noticed a slight amount of moisture on the battery with my s5 when when it gets very hot maybe your phone is a defective phone it does happen

or Ockham's razor your hand sweats dude just clean your phone after you sweat too much just saying

I don't know which one is right good luck figuring this out man

The fact that he's mentioned flashing roms & kernels that aren't specifically made for his model is of major concern and could have easily compounded the problem. Normally this would have at the very least, soft bricked his device.
It's simply not possible to do this without causing major issues.
Hopefully he can provide us with more insight on this issue. An update that makes a device slippery is a first in all of the years I've been diagnosing Android issues. But I guess there's a first time for everything. [emoji41]

lol. I expect to get this reaction because it happened before. I would react the same way. I agree this is a very absurd problem but really I'm telling the truth.
I couldn't even dare RMA the phone. Because I don't think Samsung will understand my problem. Since the Knox counter is tripped due to rooting they will find that out and void the warranty anyway before they will try to solve. It has still one year warranty left, supposedly.

It is a carrier free model. Purchased in Turkey. It is SM-900FQ, 16 GB storage. The "Q" prefix is the only thing that separates the phone from the international models.
Other than that everything else is identical. I could install the official SM-900F (carrier free) roms without bricking the phone. Even the root files for the SM-900F will suit fine. Same goes for the custom roms.

Sure I will send screenshots of both the cpu and the battery temps. It is working hot now, I'm guessing it is around 60-70 celsius but couldn't be sure.

I really appreciate of your help people. I wasn't expecting to get many replies for a short time. Hope we could be able to solve the problem. Thank you alot in advance.

Idk in which conditions your S5 reaches to 70 celsius range but mine quickly reaches 70 celsius when only browsing. The phone still performs good as before, no hiccups or shutdowns. I am actually pretty satisfied with the performance of the phone.

I changed the battery due to it might defective but it is still same with the new battery as well. I hope the phone is not defective altogether.

True my hands are sweating with this phone but it is not used to a year ago. I bought this phone a year ago and used it for six months without sweating until I perform the firmware update.

Thanks man appreciate it, I hope so.

Getting hot & overheating are 2 different things. My S4 would overheat. It would literally give me a warning notification & then shut itself down for safety.

My sister had the S4 before she got the Iphone 6s. Although my S5 used to run cooler than her S4, now it is worse. All started with the firmware update. Now my S5 is both overheating and slippery. The S4 is only overheating (not when browsing). I don't feel any slipperiness on the S4. Believe me I would use the S4 if its screen hasn't cracked inside. It is unusable now...
