TBolt root doesn't work

Talked to people over at xda. They all said another cry for attention from p3droid. Lol.

Lol....Im sorry this may sound mean....but if your not willing to learn a little about the system or process then I really dont think you should even be rooting, etc. I dont even like the fact that it gets as easy a the 1-click methods. People get into modifying something they know nothing about and thats when something gets bricked........and consequently are on here freaking out when the phone wont boot.

Something as simple as rooting so that I can uninstall bloat, or overclock or even just set up my own icons and things, should be easy. I don't need to take a programming course to be "smart enough" to do these things.

Like I said, most other phones have a simple 1 click root/jailbreak, and it works very well. This one just isn't there yet.

And frankly, with Verizon rumored to be about to lay the hammer down on any rooted devices on their network, possibly kicking you off of data and voice and blocking your rooted device from their services, perhaps it is better to just leave her phone alone for now. LOL

If they do that they can look forward to a class action lawsuit. Some years ago, Microsoft was sued (anti-trust) for not allowing users to uninstall Internet Explorer and they lost. Verizon is doing that same thing by installing many apps (not just their own) in the system folder which prevents users from removing the app. They even install apps with updates that you can't remove... just recently they installed Skype (with the 2.2.1 update) on my wife's LG Ally and she can't remove it. She doesn't use it and the Ally doesn't have much internal memory... not to mention the fact that it uses data services.

It is legal to root the phone as long as you don't do it for the purpose of circumventing copyright protections such as DRM protected media.

Or steal services. Just because it's legal, doesn't mean they can't deny you service.

But to be honest... P3droid is a conspiracy theorist. I wouldn't freak out about this. Though I have heard from many people that Verizon is watching illegal wifi tethering more closely.
