Tether for my ipad

You are l complaining, your posts are all complaints and not asking for help to resolve a problem.

Is there a problem you are having that someone could help you with?

Ipirate,
I own a droid and I am a member of this forum because we are welcome here to discuss the droid, good and bad.
This is also a discussion forum. What is your malfunction? Please stop badgering me.

I have had great experiences with my phone and you seem to have problems. I figured I could help.

But if you want to keep complaining feel free, I won't offer my help to you anymore.

Ipirate,
So what you are telling me is love it or leave it, hmmm funny, that is exactly what Archie Bunker used to say when you disagreed with him. One cannot just leave it . I signed a two year lease. If you own a droid you know this. I am stating facts here, I am not insulting you, am I.? Why not take part in this conversation in a constructive way? Peace...

Hey pal, it sounds like you would have discovered all of the droid's alleged "shortcomings" in 30 days or less, correct? Surely you knew that the Droid was a stinking pile of crap by then, so why did you not return it?

What exactly do you speak of when you say you had to get root the Droid to get the features VZW lied you would have?

I don't mean to say vzw lied I feel, generally, i was lied to by the media the reviewers. Ok lie is a bit strong, how about mislead? Well I did have to return a droid that went dead all by its lonesome. So my trial period was a bit tumultuous. And then there was the update that was going to solve many of, the shortcomings. I wanted very badly to keep the phone I dont like to give up on something I had committed myself to. Why do you call your phone a stinking pile of crap? I don't feel that way about it , I did say the phone redeemed itself by becoming a wifi hotspot for iPad.
Ah incidentally, One should be careful about too strongly dissing the droid. There are people here that will give one a good dressing down for speaking badly of it. ;)

I agree with the last part, however, it should also be noted that there are also people on here who don't speak badly about either the iPad or the Droid (such as myself) :)

Are there things the that I wish the Droid did/had? Sure but I'm sure there are somethings you'd change about the iPad too. Btw, someone in a previous thread (maybe you?) said that comparing the iPad to the Droid was unfair because the iPad is a computer...well, it's not....a computer that is. It really is a big iPod touch.

Btw, wasn't this thread about tethering? lol :r_c:

I'd never buy an Ipad...I'm not a hater of the device but to be frank I can do everything the Ipad can do on my labtop. The Ipad is a good idea...but the operating system is nothing special at all. Sure you can surf the web with your fingertips smoothly, but the OS can't download programs/games like I can on my computer.

Plus, the Itablet is supposedly going to crush the Ipad with a more superior OS and features

^ It has always cracked me up over the years when people have called a notebook/laptop a 'labtop' and in this day and age it's funny to see that people are still doing that.

I don't even understand where the 'lab' part comes from since laptops are called 'laptops' because you place them in your lap. :)

Ok, does anyone remember when the iPhone first came out, it didnt even have a f-----ing app store? the iphone was a piece of horse maneur for like the first 6 months or a year i cant remember? Yes Apple has a great App store. Yes iPad has great browsing, however, it is a lot bigger, so i expect it with todays technology to have a better web experience. What Android is lacking, is popularity. At my school there are around 5-6 kids with droids, and about 100+ kids with iphones, make that 200+ if u include a itouch and prob everyone has an ipod. So if u want a better market, start advertising this to the children. the children will be the only reason the droid gets big. Get ur son a droid, have him tell another kid etc, thats only way droid will get big - thru the youth. and yes, i go to school, i got my droid because i saw anotherkid with it. Tell yo friends

One major issue with Android is the Market SUCKS HAIRY DONKEY BALLS. Searching sucks, no sorting, no nothing. Pretty damn sad considering it's ran by - you guessed it - the largest search provider in the entire ****ing universe.

Thats because, Matthew, i dont think Google has put enough time into the Droid due to it not being a very big name product to the US of A. I mean, Android has gotten like one OS update per like 6 months, so its not just that. IF the android os was as popular in demand as the iPhart, then i could see them implenting more time into it.

As an iPad and iPod Touch owner myself, I don't find the Apple app store much better when trying to search and find things. They are both set up pretty similar as it is and even Apple's store has been a scene for criticism as well in that regard - just ask the multitude of developers that don't get noticed on it.

In both cases you have to dig deep to find what you are looking for.

The fact that you can sort comments and apps and whatnot makes it leaps and bounds over the Droid Market.
