[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

withjust dl it earlier....looks like they are having issues with the browser force closing but the have a patch for it and you have to put it in the system/lib folder...not sure how to do this with boot manager or if we can

You would have to install it, boot to it, then replace the file with your favorite root file explorer app. If you see my edit though, seems nobody has gotten it to work with Boot Manager yet. doesn't mean we can't try though :D

A patch for what?

There's the browser patch, and that's what I was talking about. You'll have to flash the ROM, and boot to the ROM before you can use the browser patch. Once you're booted into the ROM, you can replace the browser file using any root file explorer app.

This was just posted:

"Volume rockers work but you have to pull down status bar/notification bar then use them. They work fine for music volume."

This is why I'm not liking b ootmanager so much anymore..sometimes it doesn't play well and the slot roms lag...even with sd @ 2048...how to get this while on boot manager? Cwm rec?

Tapped and Told!
Peace!

idk, I'm gunna play with it tonight I think. If I can't get it on Boot Manager, I'll just do it as my phone ROM. I know you can just wipe data from CM GB and flash this and it'll work. I may do that, backup my current CM7, wipe data, flash MIUI ICS. We'll see. I'll play with it either tonight or tomorrow during the day.

Woah! Has anyone checked this out yet!?

Miui Ics Test 1.11.9 - RootzWiki

I might install it with Boot Manager later and check it out.

EDIT: DOH! - "Bootmanager doesnt have any reports of it working... its boot looping with it for some reason."

known bugs: (stuff others have posted)
haptic feedback is weak
volume buttons don't work
Power and Vol down makes sound like taking screen shot, but no screen shots on SD card.

Im DLing it now. I guess I dont mind the haptic feedback, it kinda has a mind of its own on my phone anyway.

Whats the deal with Bootmanager? what is it? I dont use it. I was just gonna back up, wipe and flash it the regular way.

that way if I dont like it or I want to go back for whatever reason I just flash the backup right?

Boot Manager is an app that allows you to install ROMs to your SD Card, and boot to the SD Card. You can have up to 4 ROMs on the SD, and 1 on the phone itself.

As for going backward, yes. You should be able to backup your CM7 install, wipe data, and go to MIUI ICS. Then if you want to come back, just wipe data (idk if wipe is necessary or not before a restore, but I would just in case) and restore the backup.

Ok so just kind of a way to try out ROMS without having to go through flashing and wiping. Yeah Im gonna flash it. Its hard to tear me away from CM7 but an ICS ROM can do it lol. I at least want to play with it for a while.

Can someone explain to me how I find the "system/lib" folder in es explorer? Or how to send files from my computer to my phone on miui from boot manager? Can't seem to get the computer to recognize my phone

Miui ice is a great start. Too buggy for me. Pandora issues, beautiful Widgets Issues, weird fcs here and there. If they get it stable I will strongly consider switching. At least until CM9 ICS.
