Did something stupid.... can't get into CWR. It's PWR+vol-down? PWR+X isn't working either. I tried getting to boot (PWR+RT Arrow), no go either....
Any suggestions?
Pwr and X should get you to stock recovery (then both volume buttons to get into it), pwr and down arrow should get you to bootloader. There is a way to get to CWR by putting a file on your SD card (that's how the OS does it when you boot into CWR) but that assumes you have some other way to access your SD (From your computer?) and I don't really know what file, or where to put it.
Well I appreciate the info. I can't even get to the bootloader now.... which means I can't even SBF now.... this sucks.
So note to everyone else, DON"T try to create a hybrid CM7/MIUI rom. Apparently if you replace the frameworks outright, it WILL bork your phone!
How exactly did you go about trying that? Should I even ask? lol
Glad you at least got back to the bootloader. I'm hoping you made a backup before trying such a foolish maneuver.
I would think the system apps may have worked, but those frameworks are touchy (I think.) I'm no developer, but I'm pretty sure the framework files have something specific to the ROM in them.
WOOT! Great news from the Dev thread on Rootz:
"Anyone follow @cvpcs ? he is the guy who came up with the hijack stuff for the dx which lead to cm on are devices... He just tweeted that he fixed the hijack code and is booting ICS builds!"
EDIT: This is the tweet in question:
"Yay! I figured out why my DX builds weren't booting. ICS updates to the hijacking system were crashing it. Fixed now "
Then he tweeted this to JBird_Vegas:
"it's still very much broken, so it's not public yet. trying to setup a ton of updates to the codebase"
and this also to JBird:
"stop by my irc tomorrow or something. I can fill you in"
Sounds like he and JBird will be working together a bit to get this working for us
Awesome! Might need to break out the D2 for this!
Quite Sharp indeed....
Motorola Droid Razor...
Peace!
