That's wierd. My camera is great. I just checked volume buttons to zoom and all has been well.

I think you sent me the camera advance app that I've been using. But stock camera hasn't worked for over a month. I even sbf'ed back to Froyo, applied gb update.zip, rebooted and flashed clean cm7......still no good :/ Idk why ....

No man, tried a fresh install, same problems. Haven't tried it without Boot Manager yet though. I think it's an issue with Boot Manager, not with the ROM. I don't have enough time right now to flash it fresh without boot manager. Maybe around Christmas time when I'm not at practice all the time.

This may sound like a dumb question, but has anyone done a fully clean install of 11/22 or 11/30? Wipe data and the works, instead of just flashing over 11/5 or some other build? Maybe a clean wipe would help the camera/camcorder issues.

Im on 11/30 right now. I'll try a wipe of everything and reflash.

Edit: wiped everything and reflashed and stock camera still not working

Well that sucks. Thanks for trying though. I'll try the 11/5 camera on 11/30 later to see how things go. Can't get much worse than it is now. I've been using other people's phones to record things at practice b/c my videos keep getting messed up :/ (I'm on 11/5 now)

Sounds like you're using the GB leak instead of the actual OTA final. If so, that's definitely a bad variable.

I always wipe dalvik, cache, & "factory reset" via CWM. I'm 99% sure that doing both cache & factory reset is redundant, but figured I'd be safe. This last time I even swapped in a different SD card just in case there was some weird config file somewhere I didn't know about. I've tried copying other cameras onto 11/22 & 11/30 using Root Browser & setting permissions, but nothing seems to work for me. I'm certainly no expert, and a relative noob, but I've tried to be thorough without camcorder success. I just don't understand how some folks seem to have it working.

When most fail, I use the MIUI camera patch..has always worked for me however if its a system error not allowing any video file at all, meaning no YouTube no camera etc. Nothing will work until the ROM is updated...

I replaced my camera app with the MIUI camera app using the root explorer in ROM Toolbox. We'll see if that fixes anything.
