The Complete Jellybean Thread

Ran the Razr utility, and followed all instructions. Failed the first time because of errors during step 3.

Re did it and it succeeded. Fully rooted.

Thanks Jsnweitzel, updating the OP

Edit:
I'll mention the charge issue in the SBF section

So I guess last question, I asked Hashcode but he never responded, will Safestrap and Kexec kernels still work? Or will we need a modified version of SS?

Not sure why, but I can't seem to install the update. The error message says something about the battery among other things. Should I just unroot, install the update, then root again with Razer blade?

EDIT: Note, I tried temp unroot with the OTA root keeper app. I have all the system apps installed, none are even disabled in ICS. Uninstalled Safestrap 3 and everything as well.

Have you uninstalled/replaced ANY system files at all, including sound alerts and boot animations?

Tappin' and talkin' with Tapatalk.

Just SBF it to be safe. I tried installing the update thinking I didn't mess with the stock system but it failed when it did a system check. After SBF, I installed the JB update and rooted using Razr Blade. Now I have JB and root :icon_ lala:

Sweet, glad you guys tested to make sure the root utility works, cause for some reason the OTA Rootkeeper did not work for me, it says that it was able to restore root but I can't use root on any other apps. And does anyone know if the sql hack for the mobile hotspot entitlement still works with Jelly Bean?

Mine's still working after the update. Same as when I went from GB to ICS....it wasn't overwritten by the update.
