The Complete Jellybean Thread

I'm planning on SBFing my phone and installing the new official Jellybean OTA. I was curious though does anyone know if Hashcode's Safe Strap 3.11 and his CM10.1 rom are compatible with it?

Yes, 3.11 works, and someone mentioned they installed Liquidsmooth rom so CM should work too. It will still have all the bugs until they extract things from the JB update and incorporate it into their roms.

It's weird that Doc is getting bootloops. My only suggestion is to keep applying the update, maybe one of his attempts will stick.

I know people want to avoid sbf so they can save their data, but I prefer SBFing so there are absolutely no problems. I was able to sbf, flash the update, and root in about 45 minutes. I remember similar problems going from GB to ICS and people always ended up SBFing after going through all the trouble of finding the problem.

I'd prefer an SBF at this point, but oh well. Not my main D4 anyway.

Giga. I downloaded the 801 mb file. Gonna try to sbf with that. The 803 mb file i downloaded from fishbear fails at phase 1/17.
Would a factory rest work b4 sbfing, or should a fact reset work to side load the update, cause it fails at system check. Something about patch something.
Rsd fails as soon as i click start....heellllp

I used the sbf file from Hash's directory at:
Goo.im/devs/Hashcode/maserati

Make sure you have the latest motorola usb drivers, and a well charged battery. I recommend going ahead and doing a factory reset and wiping cache. Also make sure safestrap is completely uninstalled.

logwrapper.bin error with update

You don't have to unzip it. When you open it with RSD Lite it will decompress and install it.

I did that. It fails on step one. Does anybody know what their talking about.
I got the zip file maserati whatever. It fails step 1/17.
Isnt the bootloader locked anyway.
How can i get jb. The update fails. Sbfing fails.
Anyone know how to get update to pass?
It is a ss issue. I uninstalled and renamed the system/bin/logwrapper like many threads state.
Somebody make a video.
I kinda know what im doing but sbfing fails, so I CANT APPLY UPDATE...HELP!!!!?

Go back a few posts and look at mine. I made a general list of steps I took. If that doesn't help I can explain it more in-depth. I didn't rename any folders.

I can't say for sure, but I remember when I rooted my Droid 2 for the first time, the program took forever and I thought it had frozen. It finally started to do something after about 15 minutes or so.

Thanks, let me give it another go. Also, is it ok if the D4 is in mass storage mode, cause I can't get do charge only?

Did you do a data wipe/factory reset before SBFing? You should. If you did that and it still fails then I don't know what to say.
