"Mr. Schiller is saying that the speed bump the 4S gets from the new chip makes it competitive with devices that can use faster 4G wireless networks. " How exactly does that work?
This is a not-so-clever allusion to the fallacy that hardware speed equals network speed. Admittedly, they didn't lie. Its true that a better chipset will prevent the processing hardware from being the limiting factor here, but its also not sufficient on its own. What they said is true: the chip will allow it compete with PHONES that USE 4g networks (in terms of processing capability...they left that out). What they implied is incorrect (that a dual core phone on 3g is as fast on a network as a 4g phone with dual core.) In summary, The only element of 4g phones with which they can compete is irrelevant with respect to the argument for LTE's speed benefits.
Man, it's only clocked to 1.2ghz. I hope it's bootloader is unlocked so we could OC it to 1.5ghz or higher. Not that 1.2ghz isn't fast but I was looking forward to running 1.5ghz stock. Still a beast of a phone though.
