The "New" New Phone Rumor Mill

Actually I was thinking of covering myself in them like Conan O'Brien!

Yeah... your phone may be able to stop a bullet, but mine actually has crime deterrent(one of my all time favorite commercials):

I just added this guy's hand's on experience to the top post...

Not sure if it means much, but those using their Google+ and/or forum accounts to make their own claims are sure opening themselves up to some flames if they end up being wrong. The people behind big blog sites and "confidential informants" can just wash their hands of things if they are wrong, but I can bet "Jacob Epstein" will never hear the end of it if he is.

Mhmm... And a friend who has an iPhone 4.5 ;) was trying to explain how if you were in certain places with ATT you could get up to 5 mbps, the same speed as 4g... I was like uhuh... pigs also fly...

I would love to know what he was smokin'. ;)

IMO, 3mbps is generally plenty sufficient, other than for video - browsing often seems that many internet sites don't d/l much faster than 3mbps, anyway. But the great thing about LTE and dual-core is you can d/l full flash content on default (even PC-mode if you like) and it will be blazing fast.

As for battery life, saw a test comparison of cameras and the Samsung Nexus came out on top (as far as battery), just edging the IPhone4 (the 4S came in somewhere behind that, apparently battery life is not quite as good). I realize photos isn't the best and proper way to test a battery, but might seem to be an indicator that this will have pretty good battery life.

Japanese retailer leaks poster showing off Samsung Nexus. Also confirms specs for THIS version of the phone. Please note: probably not exactly the same as the US version.

Galaxy Nexus breaks cover early in Japan, it's almost everything you expected the Nexus Prime to be

For the lazies:
- it is indeed coming with a humongous 4.65-inch display with an incredulous resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels
- powered by a fourth-gen TI OMAP 4460 chip with a dual-corehttp://www.phonearena.com/news/Gala...g-you-expected-the-Nexus-Prime-to-be_id23060# processor clocked at 1.2GHz
- It's also pretty thin at just .35 inches, but at its thickest point that goes to .45 inches
- 5mp rear; 1.3mp front.

Almost....1.2ghz is a slap in the face in my opinion. Make the Nexus the SII HD's biatch before either is released, way to go Sammy....way to go.

I wouldn't say that until we see performance. I try not to get caught up in a numbers game. If it is optimized at 1.2ghz and gets better battery life because of it, great! Just as I don't care if it's 5mp as long as it takes better pictures. I don't want to judge anything based on spec numbers. It's time for a fluid Android experience and I think the Nexus may be that device. I have high hopes for the optimizations of ICS. I don't think the Nexus will be anyone's "biatch" for a while.

Edit: Also remember these aren't the US specs, which WILL be different. I say that because I'm convinced this will have LTE here. Other specs could be changed as well.
