You gotta understand the issue here is deeper than being a fanboy. The issue is simply choice. Motorola doesn't give you a lot of choice and pisses people off. With the Nexus you'll have full control to do whatever you want (roms AND kernels, etc). And if you don't root and rom, you're still getting your updates before anyone else. With the Bionic, Razr and all other Motorola devices sans the OG Droid, you don't get full control. Sure you can run custom roms, but that crappy battery life - sorry you're stuck with it because they won't let you change the kernel. Also, some how manufacturer estimates on software upgrades always seems to take much longer than they initially estimate, so don't necessarily assume ICS is coming when you want it. Anyway, I personally don't have anything against Moto devices. They're great for a lot of people. If it works for you, that's great! Unfortunately, they don't work for me and a lot of others because power users prefer full control.

So what your saying is that:

Verizon = The Matrix (holding us prisoner)
Motorola = Agent Smith (Helps keep us locked down)
Google = The Oracle (The light that hopes to leads us to our destiny)
Galaxy Nexus = Morpheus holding the red pill and the blue pill (The one who finally offers us the choice)
ICS = Zion (Giant Cave Techno Rave Party??)

Verizon=Vader (with a Big Red lightsaber)
Moto= Han (just a normal guy trying to find his way in the Galaxy)
Google= Yoda
Gnex= Obi Wan (a normal guy of epic proportions, who just is a bit cautious abut running into battle!
ICS=Anakin (the one who was supposed to bring balance) or Luke (the one who did!)

Now if maybe a trekkie will come, we'll have a Google as Kirk! and ICS as spock! ?.?

Oh... And let's go Occupy Verizon, make the 1% give the 99% their phones! (it's an old joke, but i'm still amused by it!)

Id take han out and make moto darth maul. Hes really cool (my favorite to play in battlefront games) but has a dark side. Hes got pretty good security with that double saber.

Ultimately I just love all android os devices for the most part. The variety that we are being bombarded with is outstanding! I do hope the nexus will be the next best thing but we all know it is outdated as soon as it comes out. Just like my bionic was before I even bought it. I average a phone a year and ill be completely satisfied with db for next 11 months. I may buy a nexus just because I want a second phone to play with. I am just happy that there is a community of this caliber that is not infested with the i-lemmings that I seem to be everywhere in L.A. if I have to hear one more conversation about siring and how it revolutionized the game again I will drop kick that person lol.

so, with all of the new phones coming out and rumored.... which one has the best camera.... I have a Droid X and I love the camera and HD video.... it is really important for me - I don't want to downgrade on that....
