**The Official 2011 NFL Season Thread**

Either way, I just hope my Pats can take care of business this weekend and we can drop the Tebow talk for awhile, haha. Unfortunately the defense makes every game an adventure. I think the Pats are capable of winning the Super Bowl but it is going to be very tough for them.

haha I'll take Tebow talk over Brady talk any day. lol Unfortunately Brady > Denver's defense. And Tebow's going to have to complete more than 10 passes to win this game.

I hear that the patriots were bringing him back because he owned the camera :)

geez guys a joke, due to that fact he got caught filming in denver too :)

but he was given 2 years to thrust a team 1 game out of the playoffs into them instead he got rid of the top talent on the team and won 4 games.
along with a spat the morning of his firing with the top 2 defensive players on the team(coincidence?)
I hear shanahan kinda did same thing with oakland and after a few more years came back to head coaching a better man so maybe McDaniel's will also hes young.

i was just glad denver won i had to work and saw little of the game i can sit home ans watch this week. remember denver was doing just fine until they decided they didnt like the ball and kept turning it over to new england :)

if we can get McDaniel's to tell the papers hes looking to bring cassell back maybe brady will get mad and play poorly :)

that quarterback he got rid of in denver well look at chicagos record this year with him and their record without him. think hes been slightly better than cassell in 2 years.

I just hope McDaniel's can do Saturday for new england what he did for the broncos and rams. :)

anything can happen in the playoffs as evidenced by last weeks game. just know this is the 2nd playoff game for denver this year and its been a long time.
I wasnt really happy with fox's hiring but i now regret that thoughts and think he should be a lock for coach of the year win or lose saturday.

For the detroit fans sorry they lost but im happy that you guys finally can have hope for your team adn expect even better next year great turn around for that team.

tebow or no tebow i want that backup quarterback from greenbay on denvers roster next year :)

dont be so fast about the patriots winning.
as you may have heard mcdaniels will be coaching for newengland again
you can see what he did for the broncos and the rams.
so now that he is back with new england its possible he could trade brady and any other talent on the team before saturday.
:)
I thought he's coming back as the OC? I only heard a few words on the espn broadcast as I was busy with something else, but that's what I heard. Bill won't let Brady go, if Brady goes so does Bill.

McDaniels was given no time to turn things around in Denver, in fact the two guys he drafted were the reason they are even playing New England (Tebow and Thomas). So people can hate on him in Denver all they want but he is looking pretty good right now.

I completely and utterly disagree. Josh McDaniels was ruining the Denver Broncos.

- Jay Cutler
- Brandon Marshall
- Knowshon Moreno over Brian Orakpo
- Peyton Hillis
- Picking up Jarvis Green, Justin Bannan, and Jamal Williams

I'll admit, Josh McDaniels is an offensive genius, but he should never be a HC, ever. He doesn't have what it takes, and it was extremely obvious in Denver.

That said, I like Tebow. However, I would not have traded Jay Cutler away. Jay should be starting in Denver right now, as should Brandon Marshall.

Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall all but demanded their way out of Denver. No one could have seen what Hillis would turn into, although I would argue Hillis is a giant baby who refused to play this year because he had one good season and thought he should get paid more. 2 of the 5 starters on the o-line were McDaniels draft picks, Decker, Thomas and Tebow all Mcdaniels draft picks.

McDaniels was trying to trade a pro bowl QB, Jay Cutler for Cassel?! Matt Cassel? Lol

Single most dumbest thing ever. He threw his QB under the bus, lost his team, and continued with some pretty bad drafts.

Fox has done a terrific job, getting the most out of what he has. But Tebow is most likely not a long term QB solution. Another one of Josh's brilliant picks.

Yeah except Matt Cassel under Josh McDaniels in New England lead a Tom Bradyless Patriots team to an 11-5 record and looked pretty good doing it. McDaniels made Cassel a good system QB which he could have continued in Denver. Obviously now hindsight is 20/20.

how is the coolaid

ive been meaning to get some of that mcdaniels coolaid.
he forgot a couple. wiegman who 2 years later is still a great starting center, tightend(with detroit now forget name)
we saw hillis the last year of shanahan after all the injuries. we saw him tear it up in preseason mcdaniels refused to play him
so out of the 9 players he got rid of you can name 3-5 actual decent players to replace. it took until the last 6 games of this year for thomas to be healthy enough to play. if he stays healthy he looks promising. decker has made some good plays but he is still virtually unproven but does show a great upside.
the players that you mention all are playing much better under different coaches. may be more experience will never know but the o-line was atrocious last year and earlier this year. only since the offence was changed to accommodate tebow have the o-line played well.
tebow has won. but he still hasnt shown cutler ability.(as for the cry baby crud..sit home and open the paper and see that your boss was trying to trade for a replacement for your job -and tell me how youd feel going to work the next day)
so free agent wise dawkins is about the only one i can think of that was a great signing. and of course the reciever that they traded to the rams(not sure why they did that) out of what about 15 draft picks he hit on 3-4?
(not that a lot of people do any better) but that isnt that good. and the entire team performs much better under other coaches.
Tebow completed less than 50% last week. while he had some great deep passes he still has a poor completion rate. But we still need to see who tebow is the winning streak. last week or the last 3 games of the year?? well see on saturday maybe. win or lose just hope its a good competitive game and hope mcdaniels trips and falls on his face on tv. And comment of him being an offensive genius???? he sure wasnt here. he went to the rams and made them into the worse offensive in football. other than when under billichek when has mcdaniels done anything productive. put the coolaid down and grab a hoodie and do what ever billichek tells you and you can call your self mcdaniles :)

edit on brandon marshall while a great talent he was definatley a personality problem and really understand and cant argue with getting rid of him.
how is that bailey guy doing..another that would of been gone if mcdaniels was still here. dj willaims would of been gone also.

It's not about drinking the koolaid, worst expression ever created BTW, it's about NFL coaches not being given enough time to put their system in place. Coaches have exactly one year to turn everything around now which is completely unrealistic. Yes some teams can do it but it takes more than 1 season to put a new system into place.
