jeez deb thx for posting that(sarcasm) !!!! now i want it even more lol.....I love how he said the screen is actually pretty nice. thats really cool!!!. Its looking better with every review. I think verizon is going to be pleasantly suprised at the resale of these

To be honest, I hadn't watched it. I started to on my phone, but it was laggy (probably the website, usually youtube videos aren't too bad).

I just watched it.
It looks nice.
I liked the way it switched from portrait to landscape and back smoothly. I tried my D1 as I was watching that and well... let's say it wasn't as nice. Actually my screen went blank on landscape and I lost my icons which usually only happens after I close an app. Back to landscape it blacked out for half a second.

now that the droid 4 is pretty close you should root that droid 1 for a few days. its fun i loved rooting my droid 1, i have one i am playing with right now i rooted it, put a low voltage kernel on, then i placed it in airplane mode, it has lasted ovrer a week without a charge, havent done anything with it just sits there i wanna see how long it can last

Droid 4s were shipped today so they will definitely be released friday. Im upgrading from the droid 2 and this phone is by far 100x faster and easier to use.

so.. just keeping tabs. No Droid 4 commercial during the superbowl even though Razr was like the first commercial to air. Granted Qwerty Keyboard phones usually have the backseat to virtual keyboard phones anyway.

Off topic, for me, 'Wego' was best ad by far.

So, we're thinking it's another soft launch? It just seems to me vzw is working hard to be sure the D4 doesn't sell too well...

It is definite the D4 will NOT be global at release. Yes, it seems odd, given that the hardware is GSM capable. Statements from vzw about whether the early D4s will be upgradable to enable global use later were ambiguous. If the Rep says it will, ask to get it in writing.

My friend works at a vzw store and I've been waiting for this phone to come in he called me when they got them this afternoon so I could pick it up. I'm pretty sure they are not available to the public yet as they didn't even know the price to charge me because it wasn't in the comp yet

Did I read somewhere that G4 service will cost $50/month opposed to the $30/montly fee I am paying right now for the same data plan? Basically $20 more per month for just having G4 service? I've been holding out long enough for the D4 but if this is true, it's giving me a bad taste.
