The Official DF Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release Thread

To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. A 16gb only version would be a deal breaker for me at this point. I'm going to sit back, cool off and continue to hope for the 32gb. Verizon doesn't even have this phone yet so I'm not getting worked up anymore until I hear something concrete and official.

When I read the drop of the 32GB version all i kept hinking was that they are going to only offer this version of the phone off contract in order to get people to pay full price for it....and we know there will be some people who will do this.

I have all my music on the cloud and have had it there for a while so I may be able to deal with the 16GB version, but I constantly have to move things around as it is now on my girls phone just to have room, so I really dont want to have to deal with that when i finally get another phone. Like SBenson said I'll just sit back and relax until we know more about it. Patiently waiting since the day my phone got ran over by a pavement roller :(

i only use ~8GB on my TB, so the 16GB will work for me no problem. i wont change the capacity very much at all. its mostly business, pictures and 4 or 5 videos for watching on a plane. if i needed more, i could use dropbox

a while back there was a news thread about costco only selling the 32gb version... on this site somwhere. I wouldnt worry about it. However, the phone is nowhere near as this as it was in october thanks to the lte radio and larger battery

I have to admit, I won't be happy if it's only 16GB. While that would likely serve my needs, it'll bother if it's $300 when they sell the 32GB iPhone for the same price. I know the iPhone doesn't have LTE, but make the GNex $249 then or something.

My Bionic is actually starting to look pretty good again. Now if Moto would just release the OTA. Damn 16GB sucks, and they can shove that cloud where the sun doesn't shine. I want my files in MY possession to play wherever and whenever I want. Oh well such is life I guess.

Amazing how many areas do NOT have LTE (like parts of Long Island, where I am), & will NOT have it any time soon, & they apparently(?) will have the audacity to charge $299 for a 16G model?!?

So I'm coming into this thread late, so what the heck there is no 32gb version??? On the 17th the day the UK version came out I was on Googles page and it had 16gb/32gb for the US version and I assumed from there we had a option but I go there now after u guys r talking about it and it shows only 16gb :(

We are all buying into the rumor mill lol. It's how we are passing the time waiting on the release. Tensions are getting high though.....

Actually there's no such thing as a Galaxy Nexus. I know they told us there was in the beginning, but all recent rumors show that original announcements were all lies.

Only having 16mb is disturbing to me, especially since there is no SD slot.

Why are there always compromises with any phone? Can't anyone make a 32Gb, 4G Vanilla Android phone with an unlocked boot loader, 12 hr replaceable battery and expandable memory? I'd pay a premium for it.

It isn't that hard.

I'm sorry but 16GB of total space is a joke to me. My OG droid has more then 16 with internal space! Take the OS out of that and you will have about 14? My music is on my phone for a reason. I don't want to listen to buffering and loss of signal while I travel the wasteland of South Texas for a week. Nothing like telling your buddy to hang on while you grab the picture you want off of a server. O wait since I am not in the office I will be getting that off 2G in bfe. Most of this stuff is great in a 4G world. When you are not always in that world you want the stuff to be there. I already have over 10GB of music and pictures on my droid. I have run out of space on more then 1 occasion trying to take pictures when I left the camera in the office. This is by far the most depressing rumor that has come out and one I simply must hope is not true.
