Guy at my local verizon store just told me the rumor was that it would release in a week or two. He actually knew which phone I was talking about which was a start but didn't necessarily seem as informed as the majority of us so take that for what it's worth.

Yeah but who knows anymore. This is a complete failure and a joke. Verizon is trash. Whatever person or group is deciding all of this needs a serious check- you know, maybe listen to what the customers want and complain about in masses like we are?

Complain about VZ all you want (since complaining doesn't cost anything), but my guess has always been that they haven't announced a date because they were waiting for all of the necessary requirements to fall into place in time. I'm guessing these would include a stable release that could be pushed immediately, some of their own apps developed and in the app store for ICS, all testers reporting bug-free, deliveries made to stores in time, etc, etc, etc. They were holding off on announcing until all was right, and possibly, something came up that they decided to delay.

I seriously doubt it's for monetary reasons at this point (i.e., sell mor Razr's and Rezounds), as it looks like they were almost prepared to launch, so it's probably something to do with customer service. In which case, they are fully justified.

So you can blame them, but I'm sure, from a business standpoint, it is far better to launch a few days to a week later than to launch and have issues.

While I understand the 9th is just a rumor, I think it is kind of ridiculous that store employees and even store managers are telling customers, including myself that it IS coming Friday and that I can come purchase one ON Friday.
