I think at this point we should all just be thinking "by the end of the year" as a release date seeing that's the only official word we've gotten from Verizon. This is taking to much out of me, I can't bare to go through another episode of speculated release dates and destined disappointment. This whole launch has been a slaughterhouse of false hope. For once the states have something to be jealous of Canadians aboot.

When I think about "by the end of the year", it doesn't seem too bad. I've been following the phone since September, and I'm sure that some of you have waited longer. It's just all of these rumors which have in a sense slowed down time because of the anticipation.

I am going with the 15th. The verizon stores have gotten a email from corporate saying thats the date. I just don't see how they can delay it any longer? Its in the stores waiting to be sold.

its already too long if i Sprint had lte i would have gotten a Galaxy s2 by now.

Wasn't it a week or so ago that one of the leaks was "8th if possible, 15th is the last date". Basically, even if there are still bugs on the 15th, they want to get this out before Christmas, and any later than the 15th is too close to Christmas, so they'll just release it with the bugs and send out an OTA in late December/January.

I've now called 10 stores in the greater LA area.

6 said on sale tomorrow. 3 said not tomorrow, don't know when.

The last one said:

"We just got an email from corporate. They're going to drop the price of the Galaxy Tablet next week and do a Tablet+Nexus Promo thing...so count on having the phone sometime next week, but not tomorrow."

When I pressed this fellow on the fact that other stores had told me they were selling it in the morning (but that HIS store was really close by my house so I wanted to buy it from them), he said... "Those stores are misinformed."

This is my theory as well. I believe the 8th/9th was it, if all fell into place, then something fell out of place, so the 15th is the latest. I could even believe the 12th-15th, but in no case will it go past the 15th. There, I said it, so it will happen.

As I tell my wife, I'm never wrong, and though it's taken twelve years, she finally believes it. Mostly.
