After we all get the Nexus can then start wondering when 4.1 will come out. P3 said it will make it 100 times better then it already is. I wonder if thats the update that is supposed to be pushed out a few hours after activation?

I know I read originally that it was supposed to be an update from 4.0.1 (that was on the shipped phones) to 4.0.2, but I am wondering if the delay is to wait to give 4.1 time to be release so that the phones will go straight from 4.0.1 to 4.1. This is about the most reasonable explanation I can think of for the delay.

Not sure if there was anything wrong or lacking in 4.0.2, but they may feel the user experience is that much better on 4.1 and are waiting for that to be approved.

Wow, this is some BS... I just got caught up on all this nonsense with Verizon.. I don't understand why they can't sell the device when they have it in stock and ready to go... I am seriously considering switching to AT&T and getting an Iphone4s

Ok, maybe not, but this whole ordeal is very frustrating.

btw guys, every time i hear people talking about how they should get the razr, i get angry. especially when i tell them about the galaxy nexus, and they seem to blank out during it. its really frustrating having nothing but words to show off.

and btw, 3.5k :D without even noticing

Whenever P3 speaks about the G-Nex it get pushed back, now he's talking about updates?! Great, now we're going to have a delay for updates next and then delays for the delay for updates and then delays for the delays for the delay for updates. Hey goose, can I see your gun? Goodbye cruel world! (BANG!)

Why not get the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket if you switch to ATT ? You clearly like Android cause you are waiting for the GN . Galaxy Skyrocket has 4G , a better camera than the Nexus , better processor and you can install Ice Cream Sandwich on it. I'm also thinking about doing this.

Oh no, nobody is doing that w/ any of my babies! That's just bad ju-ju. I do have a AK bayonet I'll loan you to fall on...lol

Well it looks like the reason for the delay is the 4 g connectivity and stability. Just Google verizon galaxy nexus. They have released these othet phones with issues , so why delay now? I say BS. It's got to be something else like return dates for other phones expiring.

Verizon to block Google Wallet on the Galaxy Nexus

Verizon has decided to remove Google Wallet from the Galaxy Nexus, likely in favor of its own mobile payment system backed by ISIS. T-Mobile and AT&T may follow.

If you were excited to try out Google Wallet on the Galaxy Nexus, you’ll have to look elsewhere. Verizon has decided to block Google’s mobile payments solution from the phone. Google representatives have confirmed with multiple sources that it was Verizon’s decision to block the product.

“Verizon asked us not to include this functionality in the product,” a Google representative told CNET.

No official reason has been given, but it’s known that Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile are working with ISIS to concoct another mobile payment system. The three carriers have invested at least $100 million in the company this year. It’s likely that AT&T and T-Mobile will block the app as well. You may wonder why there can’t be two or more competing systems, since the US is a country built on the idea of competition, but wireless carriers have been known to repeatedly restrict functionality on phones and devices for their own gain. Mobile hotspots and tethering are two recent examples, but even running app stores used to be a carrier-led function. Luckily, smartphones have changed that. It’s likely that whatever system ISIS develops will give carriers some form of monetary return. Google’s service does not give a kickback to carriers, as far as we know.

Sprint is currently the only US carrier that supports Google Wallet. Community hacks to allow NFC-enabled phones to run Google Wallet will likely pour out, though with data as sensitive as our credit card numbers, we really wish a hack wouldn’t be necessary to try out Google’s service. For now, the Galaxy Nexus

Launching the Galaxy Nexus–which is supposed to be an open Google phone–on Verizon continues to be a challenge for Google and Samsung. Though its Droid brand helped catapult Android into the mainstream, Verizon is used to highly restricting and modifying the phones on its network. Earlier this year, Verizon went so far as to remove vital Google apps like Maps and put Bing on the LG Revolution, almost entirely removing the main reasons people buy an Android handset. The carrier, like others, also controls the entire launch process for devices. Just yesterday, Samsung employees at a showcase shop in New York were forced to pull the Galaxy Nexus from shelves. We cataloged that whole debacle here.

We have heard rumors that the Galaxy Nexus may finally hit shelves on Friday, but Verizon has yet to give an actual release date.

Update: Bloomberg has obtained a quote from a Verizon representative, claiming that the app has been removed due to security concerns. Jeffrey Nelson, a Verizon spokesperson said that Verizon wants to have “the best security and user experience” and that it will unblock Google Wallet “when those goals are achieved.” What, exactly, that means is unclear. Will Google have to somehow integrate ISIS’s system to be approved?

I was mostly kidding, Verizon has the best service in my area and I have unlimited data with them (so I might as well stay). This whole situation is just very frustrating. Especially since I have been eligible for an upgrade since spring and have waited a long time for a phone to come out that I like. The G-nex is it. I just wish they would announce it already so we all can have a "for sure" date to look forward to instead of us just going off of rumors and leaked pics.

Define which 4g your talking about?fake att&t 4g or their lte?

I've dropped back a bit in reading/posting on the forums and I haven't felt nearly as frustrated lately lol. I think we've all just gotten so involved with this release that we feel each and every blow and it becomes extremely frustrating.

Honestly, I think we'd all feel 100% better if we stepped back for a few days and picked up our Nexus next week without worrying so much, I know I've felt a lot better since dropping back a bit from the rumor mill.
