I swear, if this phone doesn't get released by the end of next week, I am gonna...I'm gonna...I'm gonna buy this phone the moment it does finally come out! And I will be very, very angry while I wait! Then I will begrudgingly continue my service with Verizon for at least another two years! Maybe four!

Hrm... I'm seeing a trend with 4g flagship devices...

Thunderbolt--took forever then was pretty terrible by the time it was released.
Bionic--launched almost 6 months later. (basically a whole new phone with same name)
Gnex--still no release date. At least they didn't set a date and miss it. I think they're smart for not making any promises, and not releasing it with (many) bugs.

Some guy got one at Radio Shack and they apparently are letting him keep it

My plan to get the Nexus :
1. Get a job for a Verizon store.
2. Sell a GN to myself
3. Getting fired for selling the GN
4. Take off for a week from my regular job to play with the Nexus

On a completely unrelated note, is anyone having trouble downloading the 10 cent apps from the market today? I keep getting: "An error occurred while processing your purchase. Please try again later." I get an error on my phone and pc.

I had a problem but it finally went through.

Well if you have a drive on the 20th, you should just get a rezound or razr from verizon to hold you over. If it comes out the 31st you're still in the return window. If you go with craigs list, the money spent will be gone. If you're going to spend more than the $35 restocking fee on the craigslist phone, it doesn't make sense to do it.

I had not thought of that. I didn't want to "rent" a razr/rezound but if Verizon is really going to hold the nexus boxes hostage in the back room past the 20th then i'll feel slightly less bad taking one of them for a spin. Hopefully they just release the phone next week and I won't have to worry about this.

I'm really hoping for a Sunday or Tuesday release. Waiting till Thursday.. would, ugh.. bah! It'd just suck. The day goes so slow waiting.

I'm just hoping for the announcement of a date, so I could spend less time in forums and on Google, and more time doing final projects for school.
