Just called two local Radio Shacks and was met with the same from both places, "Weelllll, nope... the last we were told we are to hold on them until further notice...." One of the guys even said "There is a sign hanging on them in the back room that said "Hold". He sounded about as frustrated with the whole deal as the rest of us.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna try and forget about this phone for about two weeks. Yes, I'm back to my two week rule. Maybe that will bring this phone out. Sorry to all for being the sole reason this phone has been delayed.

Well on my way to my secret bomb shelter, I'll have to stop by a Verizon store. Maybe during the panic over Skynet taking over I can sneak out a Nexus. It'll give me something to do when I'm not dodging Terminators.

Is it just me, or is the term, "DROOOID" is getting to be an annoying, if not irritating term? They get all the attention...would it have been better for the Nexus to be a "droid" device? So what if it has all the bloatware on it, and a the droid branding. We can fix that. Just as long as the bootloader is easily unlockable(like it is), that's one of our main concerns, right?

Called the 611 to innocently ask about the Nexus, the Rep wouldn't give me a release date. She then looked at my number and noticed I was upgrading from a DX and told me about the 3G to 4G upgrade offer, $100 rebate card! She told me she would "pin" it in the notes on my account so the Verizon store would see it. Give them a call and ask about the upgrade. Let us know if you get the same results, she said the offer was good until 12/31/11.

I have a D1, I would love to get an extra $100 off for when I upgrade to a 4g phone, that is of course if they decide to release the damn phone.

I think I called 15,000 a while back. Let's shoot for that and show vzw how fanatic we are about this phone they don't seem too keen on.

Just got off the phone with a RadioShack manager. She said their memo says "Galaxy nexus will arrive this week, the price will be $299 for renewal or new line. Once they arrive they are not to be sold until further notice".

She said she will call me once they get word.
