Crown Royal + Red Bull is my drink of choice, especially when hungover. It works wonders for me and I highly recommend it any time of the day lol!

I read somewhere a couple years ago Britney Spears as seen in a club in L.A. jacked to the gills on purple monster, vodka, red bull and nyquil.
I'll pass...

Thanks so much, so basically avoid bad websites like I do on a computer :) I hate to burden you again but what exactly is a nandroid backup? Is it easy to do? And lastly, what is a custom recovery? Why can't I just use the default recovery?

Thanks so much for any replies, I know I should know this but even after reading a lot it seems most guides assume one knows what these things are.

Thanks again.

A nandroid backup is a backup of your entire phone(ROM, data, cache, ect.). Basically it will bring you back to the preveious state like a system restore on a PC. A custom recovery has more options than the stock recovery that allows you to make a nandroid backup and install custom ROMs as well as other useful things.

15 it is people. Please have faith and believe in the almighty

Verizon...

For real, rep at the corporate store confirmed to me the 15th for sure.

I'm trying to read the Nexus user manual, but I keep coming back here and refreshing... Why, I don't know. I'm 97% sure there's not going to be a midnight release... but with this phone, anything is possible! It's making me crazy, lol. If anything, Verizon's (non)delay has, at least for me, created more interest in the Nexus. Honestly, after they announced it, I was kinda let down that it's specs weren't light-years beyond the RAZR or Rezound. I wasn't even sure if I thought it would be worthy of replacing my D1... but the longer I wait, and the more "New-Leaked-Exclusive-My Neighbor's Dog Said-Un/Official Release Dates" that come and go without a Nexus, the more I WANT THIS PHONE!!!

(Disclaimer: I'm not predicting a midnight release. Don't blame me if it doesn't happen.)

Recently I have been playing with my Pre a lot more. I think knowing that it will be exchanged at Radio Shack for the $100 discount has made me appreciate it a lot more. I think I am nostalgic despite still having the phone... Wow. I have a problem. Still, it is sad that I am giving up a piece of hardware I have had for over 2 years.

Completely off topic but when the Pre came out, for me, it was the best phone out there. It had beautiful multitasking, awesome specs, a keyboard, amazing battery life, and amazing homebrew software. Little did I know that after the OG Droid a new device would be release bi-monthly but it has served me well. I think now is a great time to join the Android Community, it really is the only real option for a 'want-to-be' hacker.

So I guess this is my yes, here I am post :) Hopefully, I will be contributing to this phone's developer community in the near future. (may have to refresh some of my java knowledge)

But... GALAXY NEXUS! So, you know, I am not too badly off. :P

Edit: This got rambly, fast.

So this is kind of important, because the OMAP4460 has to switch between two ways of clocking between 1ghz and up it seems we can't get OC kernels that run under 1GHz when it is not needed.

The MPU DPLL is supposed to be run at 2.4GHz and the clock generator should divide by two for a 1.2GHz clock and it seems most phones won't go above around a 2.8GHz threshold which means that they need to clock with the DCC (allows for clocking w/o dividing by 1/2) e.g. 1.2GHz = 1.2GHz but as soon as the chip goes bellow the designated 1GHz the MPU DPLL is unable to clock to such a low speed so it disables the DCC but the OMAP chip seems to crash whenever disabling DCC.

So it seems to over clock you can't ever go bellow 1GHz if you want to keep the DCC enabled.
