The Official DF Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release Thread

I called last night about the $100, it's true, but I'm not eligible.
Lets not forget, kids lots of places, including my local corporate store had the phones, ads and goodies ready to go for the 9th, they're not going to sit on them indefinitely. For no reason other than logic, I'm thinking 15th, lots of people have been told 15th, and I think there might be something to the theory of recent purchasers of razrs and rezounds not being able to return them. Prolly a bit of the google wallet thing too, except I read somewhere it has to have hardware (Nexus has it), the vzw wallet thingy is software.

Obviously not out yet? Lmao? The 9th was obviously the target date at one point considering how many stored around the US confirmed it to be that day, and 3days away, it still wasn't announced before that date even got delayed. Who says there's going to be advertisements or a few day in advance announcement leading up to the release? No one. Honestly don't see why you're in this thread? If you don't think it's coming out and are going to repeatingly post that, come back in January.

What? I thought this was the Sunday funnies. If it's such an innovative break through phone then why isn't being pitched at all? Anyway, it's fun watchin' y'all get excited about some fancy toy only to be shot down again and again. Talk about kids. roflol! Yeah I do think I'll just sit back and keep quiet but tune in on occasion when I need a good chuckle. good luck!

I trust Verizon as much as I trust a crack head with my valuables right now. They have handled all of this poorly and their statement just goes to show they'd rather lie about the device than be upfront with us.

Instead of just blatantly lying, they could say their intention is still to release the phone before the end of this year, not make up some bs about their "extensive testing" proving it isn't ready. We all know they don't do any such thing and all testing is done by Google.

I dont know about all the testing done by google but i do know thats a bs statement to say when a lot of the phones are already sitting inside VZ stores waiting on the word to be sold. If the product is finalized and on the ready i dont see how testing it before the release will do anything. Maybe testing it to release a future update but then why not just release the pone and get the many out of your hair? :blink:

What part of this is childish? I don't want to start an argument but I fail to see why you find this entertaining. Yes many of us are going off of "inside sources" and most of the time these are reliable. The 9th was the original launch date and that obviously didn't happen. Now we're digging for more info and hoping the new projected date holds true.

The main attraction of this phone is stock ICS, most likely no other device will have. For many of us that are into using roms, myself included, this is a huge plus for us, so we wait. Yes there will be roms and all that for other phones, but going by history this is going to be the most developer friendly phone and may even have the same following as the OG Droid. Again, Verizon's tested our patience enough, there really is no reason for you to come here and instigate. You have your razr and we're waiting for the Nexus.

I dont understand why they were so quick to respond about the few people who were saying stuff about wallet (apparently enough to quash speculation about that?) but the many who want to know about the nexus release are left in the dark.
