Well, yes, most do, whether it is a VZW exec/mgt, VZW store employee, device tester, or something of that sort.... obviously we are all entitled to post our opinions and/or feelings, but it would be nice to lead your statement with "I have a feeling that....." or "I have been told that...." because it can really change how people take your post...
Even when the sources are wrong, they're coming from Verizon corporate employees. The 9th was obviously the target release date, so those sources were correct as the phones are in store. The most recent 15th date was from an email sent to all stores from Verizon. There's a difference between just lying and being wrong after using a source from Verizon.
To me, I don't discount the "rumor" that the 9th was the release date as bogus, because at the time, the release date WAS the 9th. Then things changed, that doesn't make the original plan meaningless from beginning to end, just no longer relevant. As of right now, I consider the 15th to be relevant and correct until any new information is released that is contrary to it no matter what my pessimistic brain is telling me. They said the 9th because that was the original release date and devices were being shipped, so they had to say
something, but had to change it when everything else changed. From that point on, they haven't
had to say anything else and could just sit back quietly until everything was settled. But this isn't the case, for whatever reason, some reps have been given the go ahead to start announcing dates.
