I don't see how that can delay the phone though. Its just a app. It doesn't really have anything with launching the phone.

I agree. And VZW doesn't even have an app yet. In fact, I seriously doubt this is the reason as all I've heard says that ISIS is a good 6-9 months out before even having a viable product. If they want to keep wallet off for "security" concerns it can't be monopolistic as they don't even have a competing product as yet.

Can't see them trying to stop the competition so long before they have a competing product. Makes no sense.

What good is that going to do when everyone will say "That is easily faked"

My comment earlier wasn't about wanting to see proof, I would just rather someone preface "I won't come out Thursday" with whether they were told that or they assume that, if they say they were told by such and such from within VZW, that is good enough for me and holds a lot more water than it being something they assume from their own observations.

I think the legal implications of releasing a phone with an app withheld for competitive reasons is far worse than with holding the launch of the phone because of the issue. Whether ISIS is on the market yet or not, if VZW doesn't allow it on the device and Google claims it is to prevent competition, it is a breach as soon as the device hits the market. On the flip side if they allow the app on the device "for now" pending the results of the legal battle, I assume it would make it that much easier to put it back on the device in the future if/when VZW actually pulls it. Additionally, the 98% of the public that has no idea what is going on while have a substantially "louder" opinion about an app that they had and liked but disappeared than one they never even knew they were missing out on.

I wasnt saying right, wrong or defending anyone. Just thought I might have missed something.

I'm sorry, was still stuck in my line of thought from my earlier post and wanted to clarify... I don't know if any of the communications have been made public yet as I'm 99% of them were personal e-mails from Corp to regional managers and scarce enough to find the leak if it were to be posted publicly.
