The Official DF Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release Thread

I got an update for flash player on my xoom last night which made me think. I remember reading somewhere that flash didn't support ICS yet and that adobe was abandoning flash to concentrate on HTML5, but they would put out one more flash update to support ICS. I guess that was the update I got.... So what I'm trying to get at is maybe they didn't want to release a phone that didn't yet have flash support. Just a thought....

Wow, I just bought a 4S for my sister's x-mas gift and was probing about the Nexus just trying to see if they had them in stock or possibly had a demo unit that was floating around. They told me they didn't have any yet which seemed like a lie, then they told me that they are just waiting on Samsung to take the restriction off selling the phone....to which I reply why the heck would Samsung be preventing you from selling this phone when it is available and being sold all over the world...some of these sales reps probably should come up with better lies or just tell the truth that they can't sell the phone yet, don't have anything more than a target date, rather than bashing Samsung as the reason behind the problem...

No they said it wasn't for ICS support.

Also, no idea who this is but I follow him. I'm sure it's meaningless but:

@britishturbo
So who is going to buy a Nexus with me on Friday then? Yepp I said Friday... Mmmm hmmm

Sadly, in my experiences, it is more so an issue that most Reps don't have any clue what they're talking about. Obviously, this isn't always the case. It is most likely more so an issue of them just not knowing rather than blatantly lying to you. Just a thought.

I don't know how I missed it. =P

But I'll be there Thursday right after my exam. No way I'm waiting another day.

So you wont sleep the night of the 14th....or the 21st.....or what ever the day in January is the "next release day?

The reason why I'm not sleeping the night of the 21st is because the 22nd is my 21st birthday.

Remember? That is why everyone started talking about drinking yesterday. Truss even mentioned me when he created this thread because I talked about going into Verizon wearing my birthday suit on my birthday.

I guess I make a pretty big impact on this thread. :p

EDIT: How are we losing to the On-topic thread????
