I know this isn't new news, but thought I would pass it along. I went to my local Verizon store today and the lady there said that they had them in stock and if no other update comes out they will be ready to be sold on the 15. I also asked her if there was a lot of people calling in for it. She said that their phones have been busy last two weeks with people calling in. I'm in a relatively small town so that surprised me. More people than we really know are waiting for this phone. Like I said no new news but thought I'd share.

I am kind of thinking that some people got in big trouble over the leaks of the 9th. And this time they are being tight lipped and trying to minimize leakage. I still have hope for the 15th.

I think the reason for the stores giving a date that they know could be wrong instead of saying that there is no date yet is that they will get people coming in on that day. Weather or not the phone droped. They keep feeding false dates and getting you to keep coming in and eventually you will walk out with a razr or rezound

This is actually different than anything else I have heard. If this is exactly the way she worded it, I see it as very good news... between:

Sell it unless we tell you not to

and

Don't sell it until we tell you that you can

I see the first showing a lot more faith from the higher up that it will be released sooner rather than later. That or I am just over reading into the way she randomly decided to word things.

What's wild to me is to read the releases in Australia and the UK. They talk about the phone being around $10 or free with their plans. Is it just in the U.S. that the carriers don't subsidize the full cost of the phone?

For example:

I'm not sure if I'm reading it correctly but they have this MRO Bonus Plan attached, which seems to work like the plans here.

I hope the nexus sells like crazy. More peeps with this phone the more hacks will come. I want this to be like the d1 which has lots of roms.

Someone posted on or around the 10th, about a million posts ago, that Verizon wanted a soft launch and all of the speculation f'd it up. If I remember correctly he was the father of a Verizon employee and was one of the first to suggest the 15th. It goes along with everything else, speculation and guesses.

Thats exactly how she worded it and I took it the same as u. OK to sell unless we tell u otherwise.

Isn't Google Wallet only on the Nexus S on sprint? I don't think its on other phones yet. Still doesn't mean that that's the reason, but you can't really rule it out that quickly. It's not like all other carriers and all other phones already have Google Wallet working fine and Verizon just wants to be difficult about it.

Maybe its the implications of settling the dispute OF Google Wallet. Verizon would be blocking an app, not legal according to the block C purchase. If they give in then they will lose a lot of leverage in the future, it will most likely impact the locking/unlocking of bootloaders. If Google gives in then open source is no more and they have just given their flagship phone away to be hacked into what Verizon deems a good phone.

Speaking of updates my razr is suddenly a lot snapper this afternoon than it was this time yesterday. Must have happened in the background. Maybe that's what they were waiting for? Some kind of update? Any way I'm inclined now to argue you guys are probably going to get your toys on Thursday. :p
