Prowler I'm in Tucson too... Awesome. Were u live? I'm in continental ranch off I-10 and twin peaks.

Go by there twice a week.

I actually LIVE in Chandler (on weekends) and work in Tucson during the week. While here, I live in my RV at the Prince of Tucson RV park. Works out well, and saves me storage on my RV.

I have testing tomorrow... This isn't gonna be good. A night without sleep and I haven't studied as much as I should of! Tonight/Tomorrow are gonna suck... till tomorrow night when I can play with my nexus :D

Same here, exam at 9AM. So... Slamming back some drinks at the moment so I'll be able to get some shut eye.

Good plan?

Well I saw and heard it was released thank you . Now my OG droid will get fixed and I will learn to root off of that for awhile. It stayed alive long enough, but it has its issues right now. I haven't babied the thing either and it still turns on and off and does what i ask it most of the time haha . Love the OG but its time to let go. Nexus here I come.

There were also issues on GB on some phones getting the tethering to work (my bionic for one). Most of the problem is the locked bootloader and GB. Realize this won't be an issue on the Nexus, just want to know if I'll have tethering tomorrow night or have to re-activate my Bionic just to get tether working.

I have no internet except for my tether when I'm in Tucson during the week, and it's really hard to do things (like getting tether to work) when all you have is the phone.
i know this would suck but at worst you switch back to your d1 when your their needing a tether. thats just a phonecall away to switchback. theyll have a tether for this eventually. :)

I wonder why this launch feels so exciting. I was excited about the Bionic launch but nothing like this. I think ICS has me excited because it's such a refreshing change from past versions of Android and I've had the OG for 2 years, it feels ancient to me in terms of how long I usually have tech.

Hopefully we get 4.1 soon, it seems like it improves the Nexus a great deal.

Probably b/c the Bionic was some what of a let down. Locked Bootloader! You have to figure people that were getting the Bionic where hoping for a phone like the OG Droid, just up to date and the Bionic failed in doing so.

The Nexus, on the other hand, is the perfect upgrade coming from the OG Droid.

NEXUS. 12 nexus phones! not nexi. O.o :soapbox: cacti liking people. its cactus. "look at all this cactus"

Tsk tsk tsk, such terrible grammer. lol "look at all these cacti/cactus" Couldn't resist, especially from a fellow desert dweller. :p

I don't suppose a family member can pick a phone up for someone...I'm stuck in class til about 4pm, and I'm stuck in ATL. *sigh* If only my dad could pick it up for me, but then again I'm going to go the route of not letting no stinking mindless red store zombie paw my sexy Galactic Lexus Unicorn Nexus. I'll leave the protective plastic on it till I can get a case and screen protector for it. Guess I'd better order a case and screen protectors...;)

The nexus may not be for everyone. People forget that at one time the "boring" vanilla android look lead many to the new look UI's in blur, sense, touchwiz. I must admit after having the d1 I wanted the d2 for blur because of the look. Just blur on the d2 was so buggy and slow it made me hate the thing. My point is that the Nexus will not be for every one but its for me. I been waiting for a vanilla clean android device since the d1. Yes gingerblur is an improvement over the d2 froyo blur and it is getting better. And sense is arguably the best oem ui to date. But I miss the clean feel of vanilla. The issue with all these custom uis is that its meant to cater to the avg user so its always seem to be running all these extra services in the background particularly social ones. I like vanilla where I can choose what I want running or not, what I want on my device. I do not need vzw to have games, facebook, twitter, etc loaded on my device for me. I am more than capable of going to the market and installing it if I feel I want those apps. With that said there are people who like preloaded apps. It allows them to have the apps on their phone that they use while they learn their device. So to those in this thread who may be hyped on the nexus because up the hype beast I say to you to play with it and look at it before purchase because it may not be for you. I know for me that since I started my petition against bloatware that this is the device I have been waiting for and now it is here I am ready to purchase a device that I feel can last me for 2 years just like the nexus one lasted for its owners for 2 years.
