Finally!!!!! I have a new Droid Bionic. Been waiting over 6 months with my crappy Droid 1 phone. A bit expensive but worth not having to deal with my old Droid anymore.

Bionic + Extended Battery + Screen Protectors = $303 at Verizon.

Verizon had 1/2 off the Extended Battery + Free NFL Application.

Why are people buying screen protectors for a phone with scratch resistant Gorilla Glass?
And why was your Droid 1 crappy?

Just got back to the office with mine. So far I'm very impressed. The screen quality is great and the resolution is just the right size, fonts are crystal clear. Doing a charge now and will test out battery life in a bit but so far I'm impressed with the phone. I like the build quality despite the phone being light and utilizing more plastic then I'm used too. Initial impressions so far are all positive.

Yea they tried selling me screen protectors and anti glare shields for like $12 and $14 .. for 3 pieces of plastic... I said no thank you. Never used them, never scratched my phones. Smashed a screen but dont think they would have helped that...

Here's another negative from me. The Ringtones /notifications SUCK. How you release a flagship phone with a bunch of MTV generation ringtones is beyond me. All i want is a "ring ring" ringtone and a "beep beep" notifier. I hope a bootstrap app comes out soon so i can flash the droid X2/Droid 3 tones from the Liberty thread.

Yeah the guy that sold me mine said like 3 times that he suggested I get the screen protectors. I said no all 3 times and then when checking me out said "so do you want to go with the screen protectors?". Thats when I explained to him what Gorilla Glass is.

people actually use the stock ringtones?
thats like one of the first things I do.. find the ringtones I made that are on my SDcard and set them up.

Alot of people say the Bionic is light. How light is it compared to let's say a Droid X?

Got mine today. So far very impressed after upgrading from D1. Very smooth. Virtually no buffer on any flash video in high quality. Screen is fantastic despite pentile concerns. The Prime may be better in a month or 2 from a hardware standpoint, but i have a hard time believing it will be a better all around experience. Very solid phone.

When u root u void ur warranty the only thing good for rooting that I have found out is taking screenshots amongst other small things ...too me I haven't found a reason good enough to root my phone yet but that's just me I'm sure other people who have more pros to rooting that I can provide can help u decide

I use Digital Phone for my ringtone and Look at Me for my notification.

Getting annoyed now, some of my paid apps don't show up in market, ie: better keyboard, better alarm clock .. just a bunch of skins but not the actualy keyboard.

Do yourself a favor and return them.
If you really want a screen protector get a Zagg.. though with Gorilla Glass they arent really necessary unless you've got loose diamonds in your pocket with your phone

I WAS going to buy this today and I went to VZW locally. They had a bunch there (over 15) and I played with the one they had set up. The screen was so terrible (Pentile) that I will be forced to wait for the prime. I agree, the phone is way better than my D1 as far as speed and features, but I mean, the screen is just so horrible..... SOOO much graininess that's noticable in several situations. My D1 is creeping along still and it'll have to keep trucking until hopefully a month from now when the Prime is RUMORED to drop. I was really wanting the GS2 but VZW decided to pull out of that race. Been eligible for an upgrade for the past month.
